There have been over 50 new pages in the thread since the last update to the game, which was almost a month ago.

What do you guys even discuss anymore?
Lots of new kiwis like myself joining in for the ride.
The updates brings few new things to the table, so I don't know how we got so many pages since there isn't much to talk about except Alex's endless laziness and egoism... oh, wait, nevermind, there is a lot to talk about then.

Alex could simply make everything better by;
- Making the game into a stealth survival horror
- Put two modes of gameplay; as senpai, where you save the girls, or as yandere, where you kill them
- 10 endings that depend on how many girls you saved/killed
- One entire month for the preparation of assassinations if played as yandere
- You have to either save/kill the girls before the other does the same thing
- Use a fucking American high school, since Alex is unable to understand Japanese society
- Make the police useful for fucks sake, as in adding some difficulty

But who cares, the guy can't take criticism or suggestions.

Okay, I'm lauging now. I can't believe this guy.
You see? This is the kind of content I am here for. The things he says :story: :story:
There are some many wrong things in that text. I'll get some.

Reaching a 4-year milesone makes me feel a lot of different emotions.
It did it with a lot of us.

Alex Mahan said:
On one hand, I think I’ve proven beyond any shadow of a doubt that when I say I’m going to do something, I commit to it and dedicate myself to it – for years, if necessary.
He's talking about the streamings, I'm sure.

Alex Mahan said:
One way to look at it is that Yandere Simulator is 90% easter eggs and 10% rivals.
Fixed that part.

Alex Mahan said:
If 80% of the gameplay mechanics are currently (barely) functional then the game is 72% done at this point.
You heared that guys?! 72% completed!!! :jacewow::jacewow::jacewow::jacewow::jacewow:
I mean wow he even threw an specific number to make it look like he knows how is it going.

It's funny, he says this, but not much before he said that he keeps asking himself how close he is to the finish line. Contradiction much?

Alex Mahan said:
...over the past 4 years, 10% of my time was spent on Osana, and 90% of my time was spent on game mechanics…
Didn't he say at some point that most of his time was focused on developing Osana?
Even if this wasn't the case, that leaves us with 146 days focused only on "programming" Osana, since that is the only thing he barely knows how to do for himself.

Alex Mahan said:
...so, you can’t judge the rate of progress on Osana by how complete she currently is.
Perfect logic of why you can't condemn his negligence towards the game.

Alex Mahan said:
If the Kickstarter is a success...
Because of course you couldn't be satisfied with just your patreon and youtube money you greedy, lazy-ass hob-goblin.

Alex Mahan said:
...I could hire a programmer to design “rival tools” that facilitate the creation of rival events.
Alex Mahan... hiring...
Somehow these two words don't go well together in the same sentence.
Also, I know this will end with him complaining that programmers are only making things worse since they touched "muh perfect spaghetti code."

Alex Mahan said:
Sometimes I consider asking the fanbase for permission to work on a side-project, or a one-month project, or even a one-week “Game Jam” project…
Which translates on him making another poll to guilt-trip his 12-year old army at some point. Great.

Okay, let's hurry up, what else does he-

...
Who are you trying to fool, Alex?

"One way to look at it is that Yandere Simulator is 90% game mechanics and 10% rivals. If 80% of the gameplay mechanics are currently functional, then the game is 72% done at this point. However, there is also a more cynical way to look at it: “If the first rival hasn’t been completed after 4 years, then it’ll take over 40 years to finish all the rivals!” To be frank, this would be a flawed way of thinking; over the past 4 years, 10% of my time was spent on Osana, and 90% of my time was spent on game mechanics…so, you can’t judge the rate of progress on Osana by how complete she currently is."

So the gameplay mechanics finished 72%/90% (80% done) and 0%/10% (0% done) rivals which gives a total of 72% game finished, just wow he droped the bomb, i dont know what you think but for me the game feels really empty in mechanics gameplay, and for some reason he didnt even add 1% on rivals despite investing 10% of his time to work for years on it, also confirmed that he lied in the past that he was working on osana

Once Osana is complete, much of her code can be re-used for the other rivals. I’ll have a “template” that can be used to make future rivals easily

So the rivals are gonna be super generic like normal students with just more events? , but if they are easy to copy and make why do you need a kickstarter?

If the Kickstarter is a success, I could hire a programmer to design “rival tools” that facilitate the creation of rival events.

Bulllshit and you know it, he keeps pushing this narrative of a plugin or tool which its not easy to do by the way and moronic, that its gonna help him make the 10% left of the game, its clear that he just wants to scam people, he said himself that he can copy his template, the rival just goes from point A to B and do animations and some dialog with senpai or alone and he know this, thats why he said its 10%, rivals involve more story writing, voice acting, maybe some new animations, he tries to justify his insane budget

Potentially, I could hire multiple programmers so that progress can be made on several rivals simultaneously.

Again bullshit, he tries to justify his insane budget, having the tool, template and the need to hire multiple programmers?

Even if Osana isn’t finished until late 2018, all future rivals could potentially be created 10x faster because the task would be so much easier once I have a template/tools/assistance.

What osana finished at the end of 2018?

Also again, pushing the kickstarter so hard

Even despite all of these reasons to be optimistic about the game’s development speeding up in the future, it’s really hard to do the same thing every day for 4 years in a row and maintain your enthusiasm for it.

really? did he just give up?
slxyb.jpg

I have so many ideas for other games that I want to work on, and it requires immense willpower to maintain my focus on Yandere Simulator. My strongest motivation to finish Yandere Sim is the fact that once it’s finally complete, a whole new world of possibilities will open up for me, because I’ll regain the freedom to work on any project I feel like working on.

omg his giving up.. his giving up..
no wonder he doesnt want to make more gameplay mechanics, hes just bored to pretend working on the game

the remaining text of yandere dev he's just bitching and makes excuses, no point in covering it

BONUS

In other news, I’ve recently enlisted the help of a professional programmer who has been given access to Yandere Simulator’s project files and source code so that he can experiment with ways to optimize the game. He’s already made several very promising discoveries, and I feel very optimistic that you’ll be able to play a much smoother version of Yandere Simulator in the future!

So, a new build came out with another Headmaster tape...

My head hurts even more now.

Also, Alex probably won't post the new build tomorrow or people will think it's an April Fools joke. To be honest, the whole April Fools thing really just gives him an excuse to not work on the game.

The reason why the game is so easy is because Alex is also god awful at playing video games as well. He wouldn't be able to finish playing his own game if it was too hard lmao

Most parts on the tape makes no sense.

Why does it seem like he just wants a professional programmer to create a set of tools that will just generate ready-made code that he can later take full credit for... That's a dumb, round-about thing to want too, what's he expecting, a GUI that he can check a few boxes and boom, out comes a rival? Wouldn't whatever it produces still need to be hooked up with the rest of the code? If that's the case why not just spend that time coding the rivals instead of coding a tool that would do that. I'm all for automation, but that just seems like a waste of effort. Oh right... prolonging the project = more money, I forgot.

The biggest take away here though is that Alex wants to participate in some game jams... that's gonna be hilarious to watch, its gonna be Lunar Scythe all over again.

So many... Elipses, make it really hard to... read. It's such bad writng and... frankly... retarded.

So Mr. Psycho's daughter left school to search for this "sister" she never met eh? Low key implying that Mr Psycho had an illegitimate daughter out there right? Make your bets on how stupid this plot twist will be.

My guess is: The missing daughter was actually Ayano's mom, mening that Ayano is technically a member of the Saikou family and THAT'S why Megami's hates her! DUN DUN DUUUUN!
