Its been so long since Ive been laughing this hard while seeing so much red. Who does he think he is, judging people like this and deciding who has any 'worth or value' and who doesnt? But yeah, everyone already said what needed to be said.

New Fun girl lines.
Call me crazy, but for a moment there I thought 'wait, its actually pretty good'. I mean, the whole idea of father getting rid of his own daughter in such an abstract way is interesting, like a mysterious crime you have to investigate and understand... but thats when I cut my finger on the edge because he pushed it too far. Ow. :(

Deliquents are as bland as they can get. Nothing to say about them.
Kanji and Ryuji but times 5 and they are terribly done.jpg
Someone already mentioned how 4 of them share the same description - its like Alex couldnt even think up their backstories. Shame, I was expecting either edgy backstories for why they would turn out to be deliquents or 'they are the cockroaches of our society' type of characters. I guess we will have to wait for his 'story' video. Good thing he didnt mention any dates, or it would seem like hes missing deadlines again.

BTW, seriously guys, if you really want to make a YS game, stop thinking about Alex. Think about all the possibilities this concept could go to.
Maybe your game could actually convince the player theyre protecting Senpai from the bad people or even saving him? Maybe youre being told that youre together but as the game progresses youre seeing hints that you arent and protagonist is just deluded and youre killing good people?
Maybe your game is focused on manipulating the crowd into shaping what you want it to be, eliminating your rivals without anyone knowing its you pulling the strings?
Or maybe its a funny but gory game thats making fun of tropes in anime and manga? With a cleverly overcomplicated hidden storyline. By the way: Rabu, the Goddess of Love, did all of this to see how far a single teenager can go for love and youve just proven to her that teenagers have to be destroyed as they are a danger to humanity, you have to eliminate her as the last secret rival.
All Im saying is that there are lots of options and youre taking none.

*sigh* i know i'm little late but i'll try to dissect the new video

>What you do in metal gear and hitman has no effect on the next mission

I know it might sound like a nitpick but he picked two awfully wrong examples. Even then it's not exactly true, Metal Gear V enemies actually evolve depending on how you play and Hitman Blood money has a notoriety system that charges the more you get spotted/kill and carries through mission, which Alex copied into the school reputation system.

>"There is no benefit in keeping non dead so it's simply not an option"

"Why give the player a non lethal option if he can get more by killing?" Because it's a fucking stealth game, you don't design it with this exceptional logic. If there is no benefit then you make one or at least don't make murder the ONLY solution. Many fans already suggested bribing and threatning to deal with witnesses, it's not impossible.

>"If you beat up a delinquent they will respect you"

Alex has some messed up fantasies about how school works. If you beat up a violent school bully he is not going to respect you, he will come back tomorrow with +3 friends and a gun to fucking kill you. And the game is also AGAIN, rewarding you for violence.

>"If they spot you doing something bad your reputation will not be affected"

Alex that's not "hating the rules", that having no common sense of danger. If i saw a girl covered in blood i would freak the fuck out.

>minigame

It's just the self defense QTE but much easier since it's just 3 buttons. How lazy.

>Ayano tanking 10 crowbar hits to the face

How the hell can a teach expel me for carrying weapons while these dudes are carrying crowbars, pipes and swords and hitting girls with it???

>"if a delinquent sees you murder, they will attack you forever until you kill them"

Alex finally creates a student group who will not snitch you for murder, therefore you're allowed to deal with them non lethally except YOU CANT BECAUSE FUCK YOU MURDER IS THE ONLY SOLUTION! WHAT WAS THE POINT THEN AAAAA

>steal their weapons and frame them for murder

Oh shit framing is completely easy now good to know, i'm glad they're stupid enough to let their weapons there.

>They will not socialize

Oh so Alex couldn't bother give them functional dialogue? Ok then.

>You have to beatem up to use the incinerator

How bothersome, now we need to press 15 buttons to use the incinerator. Such deep gameplay wow

>Backstory explaining why the delinquents are tolerated

It will never make sense and will come off as a forced excuse. You can't sell the school as prestigious and Megami as strict with armed guys walking around, that's something you'll never be able to justify.

>Yanderechan will join the delinquents

Remember when this game was about being a Yandere? They're basically another club. 5 members and one leader.

tl;dr: 5 guys hitting a school girl with crowbars and metal pipes is stupid. Alex finally creates a way a group of students who can be dealt non lethally but if they will only stop attacking if you murder them so murder is still the only (and easiest) solution.

Alex does not know how to design a stealth game. Or any game for that matter.

What makes no sense to me is that if a teacher/school council sees Ayano fight, they attack her and not the delinquent (or both of them). So a guy is beating up on a chick and they respond by macing said chick.

Plus, she gets beaten up and resting on the nurse's office when she has bruises lowers her reputation because she missed class. Wat.

With all the names and hairstyles and clothing of the delinquents they all seem to be "inspired" by fuyuhiko kuzuryuu

i know it's kinda the basic archetype but two of them having the same last names to both his first AND last name and the shaved head which I haven't seen before in any other delinquent achetypes kinda shows

Rips off the looks but none of the personality.
Has Alex given any reason about why we should care about his characters and what happens to them?

It seems all the delinquents will do is create interruptions. Imagine, you're playing the game, you're stalking your schoolgirl prey, you're planning out your route and waiting for the perfect moment to sneak and strike and ope, gotta deal with a delinquent, who you have to fight off by pressing the correct button a few times before the time runs out and okay dealt with him, just go here, now I gotta stalk this girl and SURPRISE! AAAAAA! There we go now take her to the incinerator and clean up the blood and OH COME ON ANOTHER ONE?! gotta press the right buttons, deal with him, now we're gonna put the girl... in the incine-rator... doot do dooo... oh great there's another delinquent in the distance gotta go fight him. Good thing I've dealt with the rival but these delinquent fights are really tedious and lacking in tension, like they're just interruptions it's like being stuck in traffic. Press B, Press Y, hey why don't the delinquents all just gang up on someone and surround them and just gang-rape them, you know beat them like a real gang would to have strength in numbers instead of splitting up and waiting for me to attack them, I mean they're just so polite and patient with me and OOOH I just got apprehended and expelled and couldn't even get away because I was fighting a delinquent. Gee thanks Alex, you ruined my perfect action plan. I hope you're proud of yourself.

What just happened to shanking someone and getting away with it? Oh wait, I know what happened. His ego grew too large for him.

Now that seems like something interesting to kill time.
I'm learning to model in Blender, and the tutorial I use needs a reference, so I'm asking if I can use this image as a reference.

As I said before, I'm all in for our own version of YandereSim(or Whatever-dereSim).
It would be heartwarming to see everyone work together to make something like this.

Go ahead dude. Just lemme see how it comes out when you're done or if you need more references. It would be cool to see one of my doodles come to life XD

At first, I was actually impressed by Alex's knowledge of Japanese society, like when he talked about why schools have incinerators on the side of them. That was something new that I learned. But since then, YanSim has gone in a direction way off from that. It now has a deeply conflicted tone where it wants to be both a dark and edgy murder simulator where the player actually has to think like a serial killer and harm the innocent while hiding it, while also being a cute, bouncy, colorful, humorous high school anime. And of course there are exaggerated archetypes, secret anime power abilities, and and short skirts and upskirts as far as the eye can see. It's about as accurate/culturally respectful as if I made a game where all the characters are short, have strange face proportions, have crooked teeth, speak in broken Engrish, and have a tendency towards shouty outbursts.

New delinquent video.

Apparently, you can lower the delinquents' reputations and the bullies will bully them just like any other student. Also, student council members teleport when they hear you fight and pepper spray you as guys start beating you up.
So people just blankly stare while a fight goes on?
The lack of play-testing is strong with YS.
