Instead of just comparing Alex to other crappy Steam developers, let's raise the stakes. I can go on eBay or GameStop and get any number of quality full-fledged games for a good used price like $15 or $20. Not to mention state-of-the-art new games for $60 (which is less desirable). Or indie games and retro collections that deliver on some forgotten genre that fans of that genre haven't gotten their fix of for $30 or $40. Why would I bother pumping money month after month, pretty much the same amount for the subscription of at least a quality online game, just so our friend Alex can slack off making his game, bloating it with feature-itis and little updates that I can just sort of play around with? I would have more fun downloading free demos or even get psychologically pummeled by a live service game on a current console than this. Never have I seen a developer get so much attention for doing so little work. Even the developers of The Last Guardian are efficient compared to Alex.

Its easy to see he is only coming back to spy on the people talking shit about him.

:late: but there actually are a few channels that Eva can’t see, so I assume discussion about him is a bit more free there, however it’s not fully allowed to be """hate-filled""" like #controversial was. I would specifically say the channel, however I just have a feeling the fandom’s precious little Devpai will just ask to be able to see in there. You know, like a petty little bastard.

One thing I noticed was that Alex never actually addressed the rumor where he went and tried to buy the Subreddit just so he could ban @MaddieNolan . So, I e-mailed him about it... and he avoided the question completely. All he said was "she has not been civil or polite to you".

He really should have just made his game inaccessible to others from the start so that he wouldn’t be put under large amounts of stress of getting rediculed that he is not working hard enough. Granted, even if he did make his builds unplayable to the public, he still wouldn’t be able to finish the game due to his incompetence. But hey, there could have always been a different outcome.

You know it's bad when a person joins a Game Jam and makes a game with Ren'Py under a month and a certain time frame. Then you have Alex who's still making this shitty game and still hasn't completed jack shit and fix any bugs. A one person developer who has experienced using Ren'Py can make a better game then Alex if they have a due date ahead of them.

when this was said? but if he said it this week that's retarded
"nobody is supposed to expect it to be fun or servicable"??? wasn't him that said that the game it's complete almost in mechanics 90%, the game is 72% complete? so the game it's almost in beta showing the full quality of the game, it just doesn't have the rivals, so the game it's gonna be shit you can tell it by now.
Also hes the one who admited that his menegeme (quicktime events) are boring, then why the fuck do you put them in the delinquent's? You are the one making the game boring
I love that Alex has bad memory with what he says so his own words can chase him down.
Should i go and waste my time downloading unity and making a simple lock on quicktime event fighting sequence? And hold the other npc actions and let only that they can accuse you to the teacher for fighting, so when the teacher shows up the quicktime event break and you get detained, same with the council members, It can't take more than a fucking day, how much you been working on the delinquents? Oh i see a month, madafaka please

Heres all the proof
"One way to look at it is that Yandere Simulator is 90% game mechanics and 10% rivals. If 80% of the gameplay mechanics are currently functional, then the game is 72% done at this point."

Him showing more fucking minigames (quicktime events)
Then saying that he want's to make it more interesting and unique (quicktime events are fucking boring basically)

Alex, you idiot.

You could reach the same end by doing regular video updates on newly added features, like literally ANY other indie game developer. You opted to try and use your fanbase as a free and easy solution to play testing so you shouldn't get ass blasted when people tear into it. This is all your fault, no ifs ands or buts about that.

You know, if a game's beta and its core mechanics are unfun than that probably means the end result won't be good either.
Plot and characters certainly aren't gonna save YanSim.

Its not even in Beta yet, it's pre-alpha/in-development, meaning it still has to go through In-Dev->Alpha->Beta->Release before it can be considered a game. That's his excuse and also why he keeps saying that everything in the game is subject to change and the way it is now doesn't reflect how it will be on release (which is very very r e t a r d e d).

Essentially, nothing he's doing right now matters. The animations will change at some point, he's already said the models will change, the entire game will at some point be something very different while keeping the same overall premise (unless something become I C O N I C). He's milking the ever living shit out of his patrons, they're essentially paying him to half-assedly teach himself game design if you REALLY think about it, this is all just a test, an overly ambitious first project that he would've quit a very long time ago were it not lucrative, he himself even alluded to that fact more than once.

At 4 years of development, it's especially telling that a game is still in such a state. I've seen games with no funding come out faster.

Ah yes, the classic “it’ll be 100x better in 2 years” excuse.
Mulberry’s drawing hand is in for some serious strain when she has to redraw every existing character and draw specific (ly wrong) anatomy so that Alex can have his wish fulfillment.

Does anyone know who is in charge of Alex's Lolcow Wiki page? It looks like it hasn't been updated in a while.

Edit: It seems even the people who wrote that page underestimated his ability at slowing down progress.
