Giving Yandere Simulator this high amount of overcomplicated backstory and explanations is like writing a dramatic past over a game of marbles. But it's still just marbles.
And these new groups are fine but this is comparable to someone who pimps up his car - which has no tires or engine.
I'm glad Alex put his priorities straight.

So in short, if the general atmosphere changes into a gloomy one, people investigates further to see what's happening right?
Ah yeah sorry, I wasn't talking about the photography club, it's just the Yanderesim fanbase now.

On the topic of Japaneses ~quweer~ culture, Japan isn't as backward as you may think. This is borderline off-topic, so I guess I'll put it under a cut.

I think the one thing that stands in the way legally is the fact that Japan has one political party with the majority of the power, and it's a conservative one. The problem is that the other parties are all trash (hurr durr, let's kick the US military out while also not abolishing the law that prevents Japan from getting a full-fledged military) so voting for the Liberal Democratic Party is the only thing you can do.

On TV, there are quite a lot of openly gay drag queens and trans women. One of the more successful TV personalities is a drag queen that goes by Matsuko Deluxe. She has so many of her own TV shows and is definitely thriving in the Japanese entertainment industry, which is no small feat.

LGBT issues (among others like mental illness) are discussed on educational channels, sometimes evening variety shows, as well. It seemed like good stuff to me.

One time on the afternoon news, they were talking about how progressive Tokyo is becoming thanks to an LGBT group iirc. Some stores apparently have those little we support the LGBT type of stuff on the counter, and the news also mentioned this one shoe store that carries larger sizes of women's shoes specifically for trans women.

I can imagine it being be bad in a rural area, though, much like shitty mental health professionals there.

I don't know much of the LGBT scene in Japan, but I don't recall hearing any special snowflake stuff.
That sounds great, but despite Alex wanting to make his game realistic Japan™, he said having LGBT characters in his game would make it forced, too SJWy and progressive and we can't have that! And also, he seems to be pretty uncomfortable about homosexuality, so there's that. Sure, he does whatever he wants, but his reasonings are kinda dumb thought.

Why the complicated Saikou backstory?

Even something as simple as the aunt being murdered by Ryoba would suffice enough for Megami to hold a grudge against Ayano.

Ryoba would've never actually met Megami's aunt, according to Alex she would have graduated and left Buraza town before Ryoba's first year. At this point if that's the route he went with he would be a pretty unreliable source of lore if he can't keep something that simple in order

Kinda cruel to rush him to work on Osana? He's been promising his fans for years this first rival, has hyped her up and made excuses for her delays, and has spent all of this time, not working on Osana, but doing frivolous bullshit and unnecessary updates. The fans are justified in saying "dude, it's been a few years. You've barely done work on the first boss and have been doing pointless crap this whole time. What the fuck?" He brought this sentiment onto himself and has no one else to blame. If he doesn't want people nagging him to finish Osana, he should have finished her. But, he's Alex. Streams and memes are more important.

Also, I highly doubt it. He was originally going to get rid of the photography club and now he's keeping them. He said something about getting rid of the gaming club or making it an anime/gaming crossover, but I don't think we've heard anything about that since it was first mentioned. He was originally going to have Osana in 2017, but look where we are now.

He's never consistent to the point it's annoying. He really needs to either stick to one decision or not rely on his fanbase to make the decisions for him. Both would be ideal and optimistic, but we all know that's probably never going to happen.

I don't want to imagine him as president of the US and makes all the females do creepy things. :c

Don't worry, if you're over eighteen you're safe. He only wants the innocent, pure and malleable little girls to wear the suits...
Unless you've got massive boobies. You're also going to get fucked by Alex.

So is there any reason for YS to be an "elite school?"
Nicknames for everyone sound like a casual thing that ordinary kids use, not serious students who put around 75% of their time into studies.

Simple, my dear Hopeman, because Alex is re.tarded.
He legitimately wouldn't know what a prestigious high school would look like it he wandered into one, for fucks sake, he hasn't even been to a regular high school, so he probably sees all these basic things and think's they're prestigious because he himself was home schooled from middle school through college.
