But he could just buy RPG maker on a computer and use it that way. Why pick up a console version?
Exactly, wouldn't it be much easier on PC anyway? With the materials and items you can download off the internet to make something competent?
Something made on RPGMaker that makes use of scripts and other modifiers like, say, LISA, most likely wouldn't have been made on console because of the limitations.

So by time September 8th comes around, he could've had a prototype, rather than waiting for a console release which is only going to waste time in the end.

HAHAHA HE ACTUALLY PUT LINKS TO PHOTOS:

In short: No, I don't.

No, not really.

One day, in 2014, I received hatemail from someone who was offended by Yandere Simulator. It was actually the very first time anyone had ever sent me hatemail about Yandere Sim. Because I felt attacked, I started arguing with the person who sent the hatemail.

They said, "Your game is creepy because the characters are underage," and I responded, "The age of consent is different in every country, so does that mean the game is only creepy in SOME countries?" The reason why I responded this way is because I wanted to feel like I was slapping them with a witty comeback. I wanted to be contrarian towards them purely for the sake of being contrarian. I was pursuing the sensation of, "Ha ha! Got 'em! They must feel really stupid right now!" To cope with the fact that I had received hatemail, I wanted to feel like I had "defeated" the person who sent the hatemail.

They had a rebuttal, so I responded with a rebuttal of my own, and we kept going back and forth. I focused exclusively on trying to contradict everything they said.

Eventually, they started talking about pedophilia. In order to continue pursuing the sensation of, "Haha, I slapped them with an epic comeback!" I had to start contradicting whatever they said about pedophiles, which led to me making a series of statements that looked like I was defending pedophiles. For example, if they said, "Pedophiles are evil," I would respond by saying, "Pedophilia is involuntary, just like a mental illness or sexual orientation!" because I only cared about one thing: contradicting everything they said, in order to feel like I had "won" the arguement.

Eventually, the conversation somehow turned to the topic of "abolishing the age of consent." This was the first time in the conversation that I actually felt like we had arrived at an intellectually engaging subject. Some people mentally develop at different speeds than other people - this means that one "age of consent" doesn't work for everyone. For example, some people might be mentally developed enough to have sex at age 18, but other people might not be mentally developed enough to make that decision until age 19 or 20. For this reason, the concept of an age of consent is slightly flawed.

It was an interesting hypothetical thought experiment, so I actually put a bit of thought into it. If the age of consent had to be replaced by something else, what would it be replaced with? Instead of selecting an arbitrary number to permit people to have sex, what else could you do? Well, it would be convenient if there was a machine you could place on your head that would scan your brain and determine your current level of mental development. If this machine was 100% accurate, then it would be able to objectively determine whether or not a person is "ready for sex".

The way I phrased this was really stupid; I said something like, "What if there was a sex test, and if you pass it, you get a sex license? Wouldn't that be better than having an age of consent?" This was a stupid explanation, because it completely left out all of the nuance of what I was actually trying to say.

The person I was arguing with was mortified, and asked, "What if a 14-year-old passed the test? Would you permit them to sex?" It was an invalid question, because no 14-year-old could possibly mentally develop fast enough to pass the brain-scan test. It simply would never happen. But, because I was in "Contrarian Mode" and just wanted to contradict everything this person said, I simply responded, "Yeah! If the test is designed to prove something objectively true, then it must be objectively true!" Which has created a false narrative that I think 14-year-olds should be allowed to have sex.

In short, everything I said during that conversation was said purely to be contrarian and contradictory towards my opponent so that I could feel like I was "winning" the arguement. I don't stand by those statements; they are as meaningless as any other statement that you might make in a moment of anger when you're in a heated debate with someone.

After hearing this, my opponent expressed an intention to screenshot the e-mails we'd exchanged, and post the screenshots publicly in order to "expose" me as an evil pedophile. As soon as I was aware that this person was planning to spread bizarre propaganda and smear my name, I wrote a pre-emptive response where I summarized the entire situation so that they couldn't create a false narrative about me.

Unfortunately, ill-meaning individuals cropped my post to create a false narrative that I want to abolish the age of consent and replace it with "sex licenses".

Please don't be gullible enough to be fooled by trolls who take my words out-of-context in an attempt to commit character assassination.
EDIT: ITS 831 WORDS LONG
"HERE'S MY 831 WORD LONG ESSAY AS TO WHY IM NOT A PEDOPHILE!!!"

This is the longest "I was just pretending to be retarded" I have ever read.

1. Mouse and keyboard: no touch bullshit/having to use a controller.
2. You can download assets/scripts/etc that are free to use as long as you credit/you can make assets. And, of course, you can make your own scripts easily.
3. You can start now.
4. You can use any version of RPG maker that's been made instead of just MV.
5. Easier streaming from a PC than a Switch, by far.

Mind you, I think you could totally make a good game with just the stock assets...but it is nice to have the option to draw something real quick in paint or get a 'free if you credit me' asset.

Does Alex have an anxiety disorder? I've seen pretty strong reactions in people with that.

More like paranoia.
He's been vindicated (rightfully or not) for so long that he assumes anyone not being his yesman is a potential troll or threat that uses kindness as front to get close to him and hurt him.
The guy is his own worst enemy.

Alex has tried censoring the Yandere Simulator Wikipedia article by removing what he deemed "irrelevant gossip/drama placed on the page by trolls to discredit the developer".

It was later put back.

His actions were called out by the resident users on the talk page.

He was then warned for violating their Conflict of Interest policy.

Bonus:
Back in February on the same Talk page, he tried arguing against the notion that his assets were stolen and Mulberry doesn't trace.

Edit: spacky grammatical errors.

Alex: Burn the books.

I mean, if he pulls it off, absolute mad lad, but the curse of the Yan Sim genre kills nearly all projects that try.

I can't even imagine entering dialogue with a controller. RPG Maker alone is a mistake let alone the console version. Honestly this Sleuth guy may end up being a lolcow in his own right. I mean it's fucked that Alex tried to take his channel down, that said his channel was cringe any time I tried to watch a video.

In the time it would take me to learn C++ and Unity, form some assets and program the primary game mechanics, neither of these clowns will have done anything meaningful.

Unity uses C# but i get the feel, and you can make a game with any engine you like, it really doesn't matter at the end of the day a game engine is just a tool to create something, if you really REALLY are interested in the Yandere shit and you want to make a game about it, go for it (again if you want to make game) and as people stated before if these weebs are making these projects just to prove that Alex can't make it (not that we need more evidence to the pile) then you're just as a retard than him, as for gamesleuth i'm gonna bet that he is using the console version just to make content of "I mAdE a GaMe ThAt RuNs On CoNsOlE" and try to rub his shitty project on Alex face (because he can't port his game or he wouldn't able to put his game on ps4 and switch?)

Console version is double mistake.
Even if you get one of those USB keyboards that work with a playstation...why?
At that point, just use a computer. Even a toaster can handle running the design window.

Alex is a retard using professional tools. If he was making a painting he would have a set of high-quality oil-paints and brushes, a bunch of paint knives, charcoal and lead pencils of varying hardnesses, and so on. So far he has painted an absolute mess but he has managed to come up with a bunch of bullshit contemporary art stories as to why his mess is actually really good and deep, and some gullible patrons have fallen for it.

The gaming sleuth has bought drawing paper and a pack of Crayola crayons.

To be fair, decent games have come out of using RPGMaker, as a result from clever and creative minds messing around with scripts and add-ons that people have made for the program.

Unfortunately, the majority of people who use RPGMaker are either children who have no idea how to design a video game, or autists who think they're going to make the next Undertale.

It's not a bad place to start, but the console version is making me cringe.
Sleuth's gonna be a lolcow soon if he keeps this up.

So, Sleuth deleted his apologies and revealed this.

Uh...well.
I guess he's going to throw his hat into the ring too.
And so the sideshow begins. I can't say it's gonna be shit just because it's RPG Maker. It's got a bit of a bad name because of retards and lazy slobs, although I do think that Wolf RPG Editor feels significantly better if you can figure out how to work with it. In terms of a controversial game, Morimiya Middle School Shooting is an alright experience also in MV, and I've seen people do shit that looks straight out of a completely different and superior engine, but it takes a lot of effort, the ability to think outside the box and still requires some knowledge of Ruby, or JavaScript in case of MV. Considering what kind of person Sleuth seems to be, I really doubt he's got any of these, especially if he's gonna be doing this on a fucking console. It'll be an alright laugh, that's for sure.

Yeah, that's true. I shouldn't look down on it when it can produce things like Lisa. Really a good creator can make a quality game on just about anything. I just feel it's really easy to learn something like Godot (which is what I would use if I were making a 2D game right now) or even Unity or Unreal (Unreal is great for 3D development). Even the biggest barrier to entry (coding) is taken away these days by visual scripting which is in all 3 of those engines I mentioned and is getting more of a push every day (though I'd still say any indie dev should know how to code because visual scripting won't always be the most elegant solution).

I'm calling it, Sleuth is going to make a mock up YS with some Visual Novel shit in RPG Maker and so on, and then (if he is smart (spoiler he is not)) will try to thrive around with the whole DMCA drama in order to messed up with Alex, and then Alex will go in a wild sperg talking that game is not YS becasue YS have too much work considering is 3d and not pixel art, and blah blah blah.

If Sleuth lurks here, buddy let me give you an advice; Find someone decent and making sprites, watch tutorials to change the standard UI of RPG Maker so it doesn't look generic, and find an arstit that can make some coomer art for the waifus and call it a day, the tweens will come in horde for that.
