I thought Jack dying was part of the reason why people love that story. People like stories about starcrossed lovers where at least one of them dies tragically.

I thought the whole point of being a lesbian was that you only like girls, yet people on tumblr will insist that girl characters who clearly have interests in guys are ~lesbians~. You can pretend all you want, but that character is always going to be capable of loving a dude at the end of the day, and it's just going to make other people think that you can take lesbians and make them attracted to guys, or that lesbians can be attracted to guys. Real progressive.

But we all know that when someone ships a lesbian with a guy, they throw up their arms and rage.
