What is it about lesbians in particular that causes this? I've met gay men both irl and online that make their gayness the focal point of their lives, but I've never met a gay man who aggressively tries to claim everything they like as gay while getting offended if people point it out like these women do. Is it a holdover from the lesbian separatist shit from the 70's? Is it a product of the 'yass kween' culture and general shallowness that defines the modern LGBT and feminst movements? Do they just have massive persecution complexes? I genuinely can't understand these people.

ive also heard of gay guys who wanna make up a label for specifically gay MEN but i guess it never happened? i genuinely wonder why
i DO know for sure that back when labels like "wlw" and "sapphic" were becoming popular and guys wanted to make up their own labels, lesbians were REALLY against it for whatever reason
[i do think "wlw" and "sapphic" are helpful labels for general groups, but ive noticed if u meet an individual who describes HER OWN SEXUALLITY as that, she more often than not- attracted to men and dislikes that abt herself]
