Forgive me, since my most recent exposure to Blue's Clues is someone ironically playing a BC game by the Pajama Sam guys, but I think the only male dog is the green one.

No, Blue is a girl. I know this because my youngest sister watched a hell of a lot of Blue's Clues and I remember her being referred to as a girl.
 
I know someone who worked on Blue's Clues, and they told me Blue was a girl and Magenta was a boy. ?
 
My sister also watched the hell outta Blues Clues, I think Magenta was a girl, it was a green dog who later shown up that was a boy, I think before Joe took over. And just looked on Wiki only green puppy got a sex change from male to female I guess in the reboot?

Ironically, I can see Lisa being as lesbian as that woman from House of Cards. It's a matter of intellectual/personal attraction and respect for each other beyond sexuality, taking into consideration Lisa ends up president or whatever. She has the depth and smarts to end up with any kind of person and I'd immediately accept it because it's not bound in actual sexuality.

Ironically, all those 'boy-girls' who skate and wear snapbacks and shit are rarely all that lesbian in either behavior or actual sexuality. These idiots base their headcanons in stereotypes they seek to invalidate. Why is Velma lesbian? Because she doesn't dress sexually, is smart, generic and boring, yet has some capacity for deep thinking? Because she fits a profile? B-but not like those damn straighties!
 
I'm not sure if this has been said before but one of the things I can't stand with the lesbian culture on Tumblr is how they justify being a lesbian, whilst ID'ing as an enbie using he/him pronouns because 'lesbians use he/him pronouns all the time !!!1!!!'.

I can't be bothered posting a screenshot but I'm sure you have all seen it before.

Not to powerlevel too much but as a straight girl who happens to have a lot of LGBT friends/mutual friends all the gay girls I know never use he/him pronouns seriously. It's usually used to refer to a butch/tomboy/androgynous girl as a boy like saying she's a gentleman or your brother or 'a real man' when doing something traditionally masculine. It's not used seriously, at least in the LGBT spaces I've been in that have not been totally infected by Tumblr first. I had a really butch supervisor at one time and we constantly referred to her at work as the 'big man' or something else quite masculine, our manager ever referred to her as his illegitimate son.

What's worse is someone calling themselves a lesbian whilst identifying as FTM or something, which you'd think totally counters the fact they want to transition...
 
Ok, here is a pre requisite, I'm a faggot. And I experience the same feelings the lesbians do about this subject. Like if there is anything where there is a same sex couple you fangirl over it. or two characters of the same gender, you head cannon them gay untill proven otherwise. It just sort of feels like a cool thing to do. So I get it, but it's still funny to call out extreme examples of this.

Oh, for sure. There's absolutely nothing wrong with shipping f/f ships. It's supposed to be fun.

But when people start acting like you're a homophobe for not sharing their same ship, or they start aggressively declaring characters as lesbians with a tone of authority so that they could possibly net in some hapless fan who disagrees and call them problematic, that's when you've fucked up.

The thing with non-canonical pairings is that a lot of them could make logical sense and expand on the story's themes or at least be a funny idea, but the suffocating stupidity of tumblr shipping culture makes a very poor environment for critical thinking
 
I love that a lack of sexual attraction is somehow an indicator of batting for one team or the other. Especially in characters who are children or have no human understanding of romance and sex.
Or y'know, adult characters who understandibly have more pressing matters to worry about besides eyefucking either sex (in children's media or not.)
