I don't think you understand, she is a girl so she is a lesbian.

Related, the visual novel VA-11 Hall-A was released on PS4, and it reminded me how stuffed that game was with lesbians. Even the bisexual women are all fucking other women. There's a single gay guy buried in there, and one major plot deals with a 14 year old sex robot in a 7 year old (as in resembling a 7 year old...) body.

The writing team must've been jerking it furiously.

The entirety of this thread is giving me flashbacks to a time when I draw a couple of original characters. they were sisters. one kid insisted they were lesbians, even if I made it clear. She believed making two females sisters instead of lesbians was overrated.

I remember when they did a similar thing when that Ghibli film came out- When Marnie Was Here. All these women on Tumblr immediately thought they were some young lesbian couple when the trailer came out and when the movie was released and it was revealed that they were relatives they ranted about it for days about how unfair it was.

LMAO something similar happened with Splatoon. I saw people shipping Callie and Marie and they were triggered when it was revealed that they're cousins.

First post here. This thread is the reason I made an account, if I fuck up let me know.

Now I'm not surprised there hasn't been any mention of this fandom, but I'm surprised. A vast majority of this fandom is in the sjw "everything needs to be a minority" crowd. And it's for a children's book.

This book series is called Wings of Fire and it's nothing exciting, marketed for kids but has a large older crowd. And a lot of this older crowd loves "headcanoning" canon characters as LGBT.

Now this wouldn't be such a big thing if there wasn't any canon gay characters, but there are(six and counting). And they all get ignored(shocking). I could continue on, but I don't want to make this too long.

Please note that both of these characters, Peril and Fatespeaker, have canon love interests that are both male.

They are known online as Offplanet, they've had many different names but this is their current one.

Now I wouldn't be here if they weren't special. But as you can see in the spoiler, they headcanon characters as lesbian and then say the reason they like guys in the book is "convulsive heteronormativity". And when asked why they see these characters as lesbian she uses herself as the reason.

She isn't the most crazy, and there are definitely more people like this in the fandom, but I wanted my first post to be about her as she hasn't seemed to change in the three years I have known of her existence.

Again if I messed something up here let me know, I've never posted anything here and I'm doing this on a phone.

Honestly, I'm just bewildered that this person can say, "yeah, I'm projecting all of my hangups onto this fictional character and I'm totally aware that I'm doing it" and not immediately combust out of sheer cringe.

I think they have one pairing that's straight, but I'm unsure if she actually means it. As some people were pointing out all of her ships were gay even though most the characters are in confirmed straight relationship.(so it was seen as pretty fetishy, even if she's a lesbian)

So I wouldn't put it past her just to do it to get rid of flack.(or she had no one else to ship these two characters with, I wouldn't be surprised with that either)

She has other gay ships, not just lesbian that she spammed about in the past, with them also having compulsive heteronormativity but she doesn't really give her reasons with these because I guess she can't use the excuse of her being lesbian to deter criticism. But I didn't go in depth with them because this is the Everything is Lesbian thread.
 
I love how Tumblr always preaches for strong independent women not needing men because they don’t need to date to feel fulfilled, etc, when it’s clear they actually just want them to be as lonely as they are.
