So essentially her mom told her, 'I'm disappointed in what you've been doing,' so now she's going to make positive compassionate sarcastic videos because she's not a negative person, and now wants to join forces with AL because she's her favorite YouTuber and genuinely loves her.So she rambles contradictorily for 20 minutes:
- She didn't do it for the views, she just kept doing whatever got the most views and attention.
- She's a positive person, also she's a sarcastic asshole.
- She said alot of mean things about Becky and Amber, can't take the thought that she may have even added a grain to them feeling bad.
- She's not going to make videos about anyone like she has been, also wants to keep making her 'back in time' AL videos because she made an :autism: bike helmet.
Well, at least she filmed and uploaded her emotional breakdown so I could laugh at it

I think she meant she wasn't doing it for revenue, but she did get a positive action when she was overtly critical. It had to stop at some point since she has a real-life career that her videos would jeopardise. She didn't shoehorn politics into her videos unlike some, and if she doesn't DFE and just gets on with her life then I respect her for bowing out gracefully, although not for apologising to ALR (I consider trolling immoral, but I also consider being a manipulative bitch immoral - there is no moral high ground to be taken here). These are not the kind of antics we are likely to see from other YTers who have made her their primary income source, which is unfortunate since those individuals tend to be the most cringeworthy.

ETA: xeno replied before I edited it in but yes, I think the apology was unnecessary for moral purposes, but it may have been necessary for her career - jeopardising employment for a lolcow is what Egg Guy did.

I dont get how you are trying to help someone by pointing out where they are going wrong in their life and turn around and call yourself a bully and to say you are sorry for it. Just makes AL think she is right in her behaviors. All she had to do is say she is over doing this kind of thing makes all the videos she did do worthless wastes of time on her part and look like a hypocrite.

At any rate the comment section is full of females hugboxing about how nobody here is being mean and everyone just laughs at the cow because they want her to get better and puppies and flowers. I would agree except at this point there is nothing whatsoever that can either validate or invalidate Amber's mindset. She's going to eat and lahhh until she dies and that's just the way it is. It's why I don't think there's an ethical problem with trolling her: nothing anybody, especially on the internet, can do, will make a difference either way. She gets plenty of supportive messages; she has more fans than detractors, if you look at the average likes on a video: we kiwis sometimes forget we only make up a portion of her viewership. She has been given every kind of advice in every way and nothing has made any obvious difference. No matter what we do, she's just going to experience lesbian bed death in every sense of the phrase.

Oh brother. I just kinda stuck up for her videos a page or two back, and now she has a massive meltdown. Her Amberlynn fixation is revealed to be a weird obsession. She implicitly shames her audience. She babbles incoherently. She prostrates herself in front of fatso. I wonder if she might have cracked one too many beers before hubby got home... Social Blade reveals she lost subscribers with this one. It would have been smarter to just walk away without all the drama...

I've watched a few of the Sarcastic Potato videos and her voice seems super high pitched to me. It grates on you after awhile. I'm not surprised to find out she's a nanny--it fits with the way she gestures and speaks. I found the Letter to Becky a little funny.
The only one of the Haydur crew I watch pretty consistently is Zachary Michael. I enjoy his Sims videos and his recreations of AL's concoctions. It's interesting to watch his evolution from a somewhat subdued gay man into the giant flaming queen he portrays himself as now. He doesn't seem as vitriolic as some of the other members that post videos and doesn't spout SJW bs as much.
Speaking of which, did anyone else see the video reaction Willo Davis did to Amber's chili recipe? He got pretty triggered by the tube turkey she uses and inserted black censor bars to cover it

This is so cringy I couldn't make it past the first minute.
"I don't think anyone wants Amberlynn to be miserable", she says. Well, Michael Lawrence literally wears a petty patch. Most of them know they are being mean and thrive on AL's mishaps, mistakes and (self-inflicted) misery. I'm not judging, but it's hypocritical to say they're doing the stuff they do from a loving and caring standpoint. Like, own up to the fact that you're milking her.
I mentioned it on an earlier post: I used to support AL. But she's honestly a trainwreck of a person, and as long as she consciously decides to ruin her life for money, I'm going to grab my popcorn and enjoy the ride.

I actually have some respect for her for making this vid, tbh. It takes a lot to apologize in a public space. I personally would've just silently retired reaction videos.
I wonder how the conversation among the rest of the Haydur Nation or whatever is looking. Is she considered a deserter among them now?
Edit: also wondering if she's doing this in light of butt tattoo guy. I haven't been keeping up with the coattail riders since AL is enough YouTube drama for me so I don't know the full story on that, but maybe SarcasticPotato is jumping ship before she becomes a joke too.
