The dwarves in the Lord of the Rings trilogy do not use any sort of Scottish accent. Actually, virtually none of the cast uses its native accent. John Rhys-Davies, who plays Gimli, uses a faux rustic accentbased on northern English (not northern British)accents, especially the Sheffield accent.
