I'm looking for some advice on good quality simulation-tier racing peripherals for a racing enclosure that I want to build for my PC. I've got a great deal of knowledge when it comes to flight simulators and I've built a pair of them over the years, but a lot of my kit is custom and those guys don't make much in the way of driving sim equipment. Do any of you have specific knowledge concerning wheels, pedals and shifters? If there are good companies out there that make a high-spec product I'd like to hear your knowledge; or if there are independent creators that build-to-order, that would also be great.

And if anyone has questions about flight simulators and getting into that, feel free to ask.

My intent here is to find very good equipment that will also last a significant span of time. The preference is for metal components and as little functional plastic as possible, with extremely high control resolution. Based on my past experiences, there are very likely large commercial manufacturers that can offer a good product to suit my need without requiring custom equipment. But in this specific field of automotive simulation, I have limited knowledge.

Thanks!

It sounds like you want to get into autism racing sims like iRacing. While I can't help you hardware wise, I will say beware because for some reason troons love racing sims.
I'll have to check out iRacing. Never heard of it. Troons are of no worry; I am more concerned about the Jews in space and keeping IL-2 Sturmovik functional for another decade or two. I want a racing simulator because it's the only one I don't have besides a motorcycle setup. And at that point I'll just go ride my dirtbike.

Really? I thought troons were more into retrogaming than anything. I know iRacing is pretty old, but it's not exactly retro just yet.

For hard core driving sims, usually they'll take hollowed out car parts and turn them into arcade style set ups.

for this you need a shitload of space and it's not feasible for most people, but this is what the truly devout use for a set up.

iRacing is a big money dump, as most cars and tracks are locked behind additional payments behind your montly subscription to even play the game. There is a good, but somewhat outdated, guide for most payed content that it offers.
As for a setup I will recommend the most reliable/common wheels I've seen around which are the Logitech G29 or Thrustmaster T500, although I can't speak for how well built they are as I am a poor fag with a sim-racing obssesion. There are also direct drive wheels which are much higher graded then your average consumer grade one.

Yeah that is the part I can build. What I am looking for are the actual input devices.
