(due to what seems to be a hugely inaccurate ED article on DSP/SoK I've decided to make this thread, which is still under development. plz give feedback. there are still numerous "citation needed" but I'd rather have a primer for people which is at least more factual than the stories that keep going around)
DarksydePhil is a 35-year-old male who decided to turn to making videos of himself playing video games after being laid off from his job about a decade ago. By many people’s standards his content isn’t particularly interesting and his ability to have “survived” for so long is something that seems to bring out the exceptional in people.
In the past decade, though primarily starting after the "Project 7" incident, multiple people have set out to dedicate large amounts of time in trying to either poke him for a reaction or to get “involved” and do things such as:
There are also some historical things about DSP which aren’t very “true & authentic”:
The Sons of Kojima (SoK) were a group of people that joined together for a weekly stream. Initially this group started as the “Kojima World Order” and after what looks like some minor infighting changed to be the SoK.
It seems at first glance that the SoK were merely a group of online pals and buddies who met up over voice chat and talked about a subject they all found fascinating: DSP. After a period of time the popularity of the group grew, which in turn seems to have motivated people to both a-log and play “popularity contest”.
The group does not appear to have been open in nature, and through time there seems to have been divisions made between “inner circle” members and general public. Fred Fuchs, starting out as a regular SoK member appears to have eventually taken the helm as the “leader”.
Eventually, after more than 100 episodes spanning 3 years, infighting and drama seem to have taken main stage over talking about DSP’s antics and eventually a series of leaks came out from SoK “inner circle” members who saw Fred as being a “bad person”.
The SoK imploded spectacularly during mid 2017 and many allegations were made about “behind the scenes” activities. A lot of the evidence is stretched fairly thin but relooking at information and taking into account recent revelations provides perhaps a better look at things.

In the past decade, though primarily starting after the "Project 7" incident, multiple people have set out to dedicate large amounts of time in trying to either poke him for a reaction or to get “involved” and do things such as:
- An attempt by a Dutch couple (The Bronsgeest's) to fabricate a story about DSP hiring an escort and his attempt at trying to weasel out of money owed. They had been running a catfishing operation for about a decade.
- Calling the police/swat to his house
- Numerous attempts to try and report him to services such as Twitch, YouTube, Blip, Twitter, Patreon to try and get his sources of income in jeopardy.
- Attempts at trying to harass his fans and friends/family
- Attempts at trying to harass companies which engage with him in any way
- Took money from Patreon supporters for “Project 7” and never delivered
- A history of Patreon goals that aren’t delivered
- Allegedly had financial issues with John Rambo and others (supposedly giving them a raw deal)
- Constantly talks shit
- DSP has a proven reputation of talking an immense amount of shit dating back to the early 2000s
- Likely overstating the nature of “emergencies” on occasion.
- Seemingly having poor financial habits and attempting to put this onto his fanbase
- Reacting poorly to criticism and never seeming to learn anything
- Operating his websites like a hugbox and disallowing valid criticism
- There are at least 2 separate incidents in which his entire forum moderation teams have quit
- Constantly rewriting history in a way that seems to try and paint himself as looking better
- Poor interpersonal relationships probably because of a history of allegedly “throwing people under the bus”
- Had an incident where he masturbated on stream
There are also some historical things about DSP which aren’t very “true & authentic”:
- Found out about his friends’ death and then made a video talking about said friend and monetized it
- DarksydePhil knew about this friend’s death dating back to 2006: https://web.archive.org/web/20070716074052/http://www.ggl.com/news.php?NewsId=3234
Detractor group: Sons of Kojima

- Fred Fuchs got angry at “Ardnas” for monetizing content that he had supposedly created, and then launched a DMCA complaint and got Ardnas’ channel shut down
- While true that Fred posted a message expressing distaste over the usage of his OC, the copyright claim was apparently made by a user called “19basher88” who seemed to have been a Fred Fuchs/SoK fanboy who decided to make use of the fact that their OC had also been used.
- Recording 1: Fred Fuchs recorded DSP_TXT (TheycallmeTXT) and released the recording
- This initial recording seems to have actually released by another user (19 basher8
and not Fred Fuchs
- This initial recording seems to have actually released by another user (19 basher8
- Recording 2: Fred Fuchs used a voice changer in an effort to catfish some person and then used said recording in an effort to exert control over them
- By most reasonable accounts this is true and part of the SoK leaks includes a recording of Fred Fuchs admission of this
- The SoK doxed DSP_TXT
- The dox appear to have been provided by a person known as “Boon” who was involved in socking as a number of lolcows and attempting to manipulate people with PA (personal army) requests.
- The dox do not appear to have been accurate
- The SoK doxed DSP
- The dox appear to have provided by a person known as “Boon” who was involved in socking as a number of lolcows and attempting to manipulate people with PA (personal army) requests.
- The SoK or actual members of the SoK participated in swatting DSP
- There is no solid evidence about who did this however it is apparent that Boon participated in the doxing of DSP and its plausible was a participant in the doxing.
- Fred Fuchs reacted heavily to the creation of an Encyclopedia Dramatica article
- This is true, however,
- The article was created by Boon probably in an attempt to create a rift within the SoK
