I keep getting told that to get people to like me I should just be myself. But when I am being myself people run away and scream and usually the police get called. What am I doing wrong?

The key here is to learn from your mistakes. What is going wrong, and how can you solve it. Let's break this down

when I am being myself people run away
How do you prevent people from running away and stay yourself? What keeps people from running away?

I am throwing ideas to the wall here, but there are many ways you could go about it. They could be asleep, incapacitated, bound or just stuck. Possibilities are endless really.

Now that we got the people in one place, let's tackle the second part of the problem.

and usually the police get called

The fact that people have the ability to run away probably has something to do with this. You can probably kill two problems at once if you play your cards right.

If not, how can you prevent the police from being called? Soundproofing could be the way to go, or depriving phone access one way or another.

Hopefully, you can move on with your self improvement quest. I know that failure can sometimes feel overwhelming, but it's also how we learn.

I've heard that handshakes are great when meeting people because that physical contact makes it easier to initiate a bond. That's why I go one step further and rub their whole body to make sure the bond is thoroughly initiated. It's a little awkward at first, especially with fat people as you have to make sure to get under their rolls, but I feel like it helps make a greater impression.

Just to add to the very helpful advices, if you get at least one incapacitated body to like you then it's success. Remember that and stay true to yourself.

I'm no expert, but be careful and don't develop a London syndrome while you are having fun with all those incredible folks out there.

Just plan in advance.
