A blast of unknown origin has occurred in Philadelphia and several people have reportedly been injured in street violence amid celebrations of the Philadelphia Eagles’ victory over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII.

If you gave console war fans a giant stadium and shitloads of alcohol you'd see the same thing. The fault is people generalize one group, when idiots who do stupid stuff, and fall for hype and makreting are part of society as a whole, not one group or "fandom".

I have seen dozens of pimply nerds getting into fistfights while plastered over their respective favorite eSports teams at the Dota Invitational. Anyone who thinks this is limited to sports fans (especially in an age where sports fandom is nerdier than ever) is an idiot.

Filthadelphia fans are the WORST. They can be serious jagoffs. I think the worst that ever happened after a Pittsburgh championship was some drunken college students burning a few couchs after we won the Super Bowl back in 2009. Last year when we won the Stanley Cup, everyone was out in the streets partying, but the police didn't have any issues, other than maybe some litter.
