Best part was when he pointed out how their community manager celebrated on Twitter all those bigots unsubscribing. He could've just pointed out how the video sucks ass, but adding that part in was the cherry atop this shit sundae.I never thought I see a video that sum up. my thoughts of this bullshit in entertainment so well.
Hell, Oskar Schindler was a member of the Nazi party that realised the horror his side was committing and wasn't simply going to accept this and did all he could to save as many Jews as he could to great personal expense and as a result ,he was recognized for his actions and is the only Nazi buried on Mount Zion.I honestly think it's kind of sad how Nazis have been so utterly demonized that even foot soldiers in video games and movies are shown to be insane psychopathic murderers. I'm not exactly cultured, but I can't think of many Nazi soldiers outside of JoJo's Stroheim and extemely minor character Mark that have been displayed as relatable humans in recent history.
I imagine most Nazis were just soldiers fighting for their country or drafted in, I doubt each one of them was a tiny Adolf clone personally blasting Jews with atomic breath. A story that showed soldiers from both sides stuck in a situation and being forced to work together and coming to understand each other would be infinitely more interesting than "ALL ENEMIES EVIL AND SUBHUMAN, NO ONE IS HUMAN EXCEPT GOOD GUYS".
Then again, something like that would also be demonized by those "people" so you'd have to have someone behind it who didn't give a fuck.
I suspect a lot of Extra Credits problems are financial. They make 14K a month from their 2 Patreons, maybe another 5 to 6k from ad revenue, merch etc.
That's not enough to fund what appears to be a team of 8+ people. Even assuming their constant whoring (eg loot boxes are a good thing') gets them a bit of corporate sponsorship
I suspect what's happening is something that Tim Pool constantly goes on about, that they've fallen back on hiring activists.
It's not just that they're hiring unpaid interns to do scut work, important positions are filled by people working at below market rates. So when those people see NAZI's everywhere, the management can't just tell them to shut the fuck up.
And probably named after director Erich von Stroheim, an Austrian Jew that emigrated to the US around the time of World War I.JoJo : Eyes of Heaven let you play as Rudol von Stroheim
He was a Nazi Solider who fought along side Joseph against the vampires.
penguinz0 reminds me of Martin Starr.Takes a while for him to get to mentioning EC, but he does address how awful their video is.

Why do they need 8 people? I mean you need maybe 4-5 tops, do they have an office because that's a cash black hole right there.
They could probably just make it clear you're not paying for James' defence lawyer and that'd save a couple of grand alone.
Maybe we can send them a nice, analog card game to help them all relax...So their new comment string is basically saying "lol, we weren't REALLY saying ANYTHING in our video so just pretend this never happened." Also while they are outright saying that playing a nazi doesn't magically change you into one but somehow still make the argument that it can sway you into thinking more seriously about becoming a nazi? I'm really failing to see a huge distinction here. Just because it's not 'instant' doesn't mean they aren't making the same basic statement. Playing a nazi normalizes nazi behavior. Which I must say that I really doubt. Again, roleplaying or even passively playing as a character doesn't mean that you're coming to sympathize or even agree with their point. I believe the desire of a developer is to have a player understand the character rather than always empathize with their position. and none of this means much at all in a casual multiplayer situation. I don't play a ton of war shooters but the ones that I have played are heavily focused on American and other Western troops that are considered 'good' from a historical standpoint. In a multiplayer match there's very little difference between the sides so nazi ideals aren't at all presented in a casual multiplayer match..
tldr Who gives a shit? EC is once again trying to sound much smarter than they actually are.
That actually looks kind of adorable, even including the historical photo edition. No clue how it plays, but I'm definitely intrigued.Maybe we can send them a nice, analog card game to help them all relax...

It's actually a solid game. It is one of the better deck building games I've played where you build your deck and then DO something with it.That actually looks kind of adorable, even including the historical photo edition. No clue how it plays, but I'm definitely intrigued.
