It fucking tanked. Big drop. I have to laugh.

Getting tired of the image of him as Flash up close with the 😲 face.

One week after one of the biggest bombs in history, Warner announced the next Superman actor or some bullshit like that.

STOP MAKING CAPESHIT, BUNCH OF RETARD KIKES. Nobody will watch this shit, it's money going straight to the drain. fucking braindead jew-niggers-faggots.

Or, and here me out, I could be in charge of Warner or Disney and respond to the ongoing writers strike and just outright cancel any plans for any more capeshit and hope to greenlit more originality.

DC Extended Universe v2.0 had already been planned out and funded before The Flash was released. Its why they changed the ending to have it effectively reboot the timeline. Movies can take several years to create (sometimes as long as a decade), and usually the planning and financing is done before the actors are chosen or the script is even written.

I'm glad this turd of a movie tanked. Part of it was probably the public holding this freak accountable when the law and the studios didn't.

You take 10 years to make a good movie. Capeshit is as mass produced as toys in a chinese factory, that's how these studios put out three and more of them each year. Either way, the DC cinematic universe is synonymous with failure at this point, they're not going to squeeze anything out of it even if they remake it all from scratch.

I hope this kills his career, sure he's a violent schizo but now he's lost them millions.

I do need to namedrop again The Room, Fateful Findings, Battlefield Earth, Birdemic, Samurai Cop and Disaster Movie as, again, the respective filmmakers were at least trying to make movies, even if the final products of either ended up being terrible. Studios nowadays can't even try to make a good movie with any sort of idea anymore. They have to reboot or adapt from an existing IP.

2010s was a prime example of how many movies, coming out are nothing more than things based off intellectual IPs, especially capeshit, and the majority of them became top 10 box office hits worldwide every year since. Let's face it, the 2008 Iron Man movie ruined a whole generation of the film industry, and not just capeshit either.

Does anyone think that James Gunn can pull this off? DC is Tainted. The interest and good will that Nolan built up has all been used up and you are left with the fanatical idiots that will watch it just because it has brand on it.

I sadly doubt this was it. People have goldfish memories often. It just was a really bad movie.
Still, remember Hollywood used their force to cover up for an awful human being and protect him from justice.

Honestly they probably would have seen more people going to it if they had let him get arrested and actually go to jail.
They probably could have made it a selling point.
Gawkers woulda gone to that in flocks.
Really glad it failed though.

Not a chance in fucking hell. Aside from the general superhero fatigue, and general shite film fatigue (with the two basically being synonymous at this point), DC just doesn't have enough left to make an interesting EU from. Look at the first projects they've announced:

1)Superman, but without Cavill, right after trying to get everyone hype for Cav returning.

2)The Authority, a team that almost no normies would have heard of, and given the description of:
Gunn described the Authority as a team who thinks "the world is completely broken. And the only way to fix it is to take things into their own hands, whether that means killing people, destroying heads of state, changing governments, you know, whatever they want to do to make the world better"
You just know it's going to be the most modern day of modern day films, politically.

3)A Batman film, with yet another new Batman, and directed by the same dude who just shat out The Flash, while simultaneously keeping the new Pattinson trilogy and it's spin-offs going under the Elseworlds brand? Lol. LMAO even.

4)Supergirl is likely to be ruined by the same shit that ruined every other female hero/lead in recent times, the inability to write interesting strong female characters

5) Swamp Thing, a gothic horror film done by James Mangold. On the one hand Mangold has done some decent comic book movies (Wolverine and Logan), on the other he's responsible for the latest Indiana Jones atrocity. I honestly think if this was done under the Elseworlds label as a standalone thing it could have been a sleeper hit ala The Joker, as it stands probably not so much.

The announced TV shows are similarly dire looking:
1)Creature Commando, again something no normie is gonna know a thing about, probably won't be seen by most
2)Lanterns, a detective series (why?), based on a character responsible for one of the biggest box office flops in the genre
3)Paradise Lost, an all female political drama about The Amazonians, that's been compared to GoT? You know it's going to be fucking awful
4)Wallers, spin-off of Peacemaker, which I haven't seen, but have heard okay things about, so might have a shot.

James Gunn already had a chance with the Retard Squad and it flopped like a motherfucker. This guy is a hack and a failure.

The next DC movies will inevitably tank but studios execs are glad to burn billion on this crap because, well, not even Satan knows why.
Including standalone films like the second The Batman or the second Joker?

Disclosure: I am a James Gunn fan since the beginning of his career when he worked for Troma.

I liked his Suicide Squad and I don't think it's fair to say it flopped -even though technically yes you are correct- because (1) it released in that weird pandemic time period and (2) it was released same day on streaming... I mean, come on.
