A massive Meta outage is locking users out of Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and Threads on Tuesday morning.

Facebook, Instagram, and Threads are all experiencing issues. The three Meta-owned platforms aren’t working for many users, with the widespread outage seeming to start around 10AM ET.
Facebook is logging users out of their accounts, leaving them unable to get back in. Meanwhile, over on Instagram, some users, including several of my colleagues at The Verge, can’t refresh their feeds. While I can still refresh my feed on Instagram, stories and comments aren’t loading.
Threads also appears to be completely down. When opening the app, it displays an error message that says “Sorry, something went wrong. Try again.” WhatsApp, which is also owned by Meta, still appears to be working.
Reports on DownDetector rapidly spiked for all three platforms this morning, and Meta has yet to acknowledge the issue The Verge reached out to Meta to see if it’s working on a fix but didn’t immediately hear back.

I lament that too. We never got Craigslist and once FB marketplace got big, everybody stopped using kijiji, except for like cars and apartments for rent.

Two more weeks is back on already. All meta services are back up.

Me too. I'd just been talking about the dramatization of Jon Krakauer's Under the Banner of Heaven and went on to say how I thought his books were great until I read Missoula, which I thought was complete shite because it proposes making colleges into courts in rape cases where there isn't enough evidence for a criminal conviction.

It might seem far-fetched but the last time I got a ban from Facebook, somebody was asking me some sort of intelligence related question so I responded with 'I'll tell you, but then I'd have to kill you.' I got a 24 hour time out for making threats of violence. So I was hoping it was a ban today, because that'd be the last straw. I could legitimately cut contact with all of my retarded boomer friends and not have to see their stupid communist propaganda bullshit any more.

Discord's desktop app is down, as is the mobile app, as of 3:20PM EST. The website says it's up, but I'm stuck on checking for updates on both.
 
They are stating discord been fixed as of 4 hours ago. Was once again their rate limiting screwing with some people supposedly.
