Today we've got a rare exception amongst Chris's usual posting material: a surprisingly sweet mention to Barb. I'm being totally true and honest here when I say that my heartstrings have been tugged.

I don't want to shit on this because, as mentioned, it's a a nice gesture from Chris. But is it me or does this picture quality look particularly shitty?

Um.....soooooo Barb has/had breast cancer?
Did she have that dealt with in the very recent past and Chris never bothered to mention it until now?
When she was getting her breast cancer dealt with...did the hospital also check on her 'holey buttocks'?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Jesus Christ. Barb survived Brest cancer even with all her health problems? Chris comes from a rather hardy brood.

Good Lord, is she STILL in that same orange chair as always? That thing's like her "The Classic".

Don't worry...we'll hear some more "wish i was in high school/find me a girlfriend" bitching or a homophobic comment later and everything will be back to normal. :ween:

Barb didn't have breast cancer. "B.C. survivor" means that she comes from Before Christ. :asperchu:

Well didn't Chris claim Bob died of cancer when it wasn't true? Maybe he's just a retard and thinks cancer is some sort of synonym for old age

Barb looking good for her age and general health. Glad she was able to beat cancer, unlike the lumberjack, according to the lemonade stand promotions' claims.

Yeah, the pic quality is not the best but the amount of autism being detected off these post is surprisingly minimal.

Baby steps CWC, baby steps.

anyone else thinks she looks like she is being attacked by a mummified bear?

As folr whether or not its a nice gesture, thats a possibility but it could just be either

a) he has been pissing off barb and has put this up to "prove how much he cares"

b) he wants people to think hes a "niceguy (tm)" for loving his mother so much

I'm really feeling conflicted over this.... :?

I would never say anything rude or hurtful about someone who survived something as traumatic as breast cancer. It's a lot for anyone to go through, and can turn individual lives and families upside-down.

On the other hand, the part of me that knows a little bit about Chris, can't help but be suspicious. Considering Chris's propensity for sharing deeply personal/private information, why didn't he mention this before? We've heard about Barb's colitis; he 'holey buttocks', you'd think Chris would have mentioned something about a condition as serious as breast cancer.

If this is a genuinely sweet, thoughtful gesture, then, for what it's worth, Chris has moved up a bit in my estimation/opinion of him. If, however, this is some cynical ploy by Chris, to garner sympathy, attention, ass-pats; or to make him seem like a better, more noble person, then my estimation/opinion of him has just hit a new all-time low.

I'm really interested in hearing our resident Christorian's take on this.

That's my theory as well, because we hadn't heard of Barb having cancer until this post, knowing Chris he would've brought it up all.the.time. Unless she had it when he was little, or before he was even born.

Marvin and I were talking about the cancer thing earlier.

While it's possible, it seems unlikely to us that we would not have ever heard something about this before. I posited the idea that maybe she had a scare once - like, a lump was discovered during a mammogram or something, but turned out to be benign. That's exactly the sort of thing Chris would exaggerate into being a "survivor". It's like when he claims trolls have "raped" him.

In any case, to explain having never heard of it previously... it's possible Chris just was never told while whatever happened was going on, if anything. When you have a problem, you tell those close to you so they can be there to support you. But as seen from Bob's dying days, Chris obviously doesn't offer much support. Hell, it's surprising if he doesn't just get in the way.

Or try to make your problem all about him. Or try to prove that his problems are much worse than yours.

Phase 3 will be Chris claiming to have survived childhood cancer. Though there is an off chance that he will say that young Christopher died of childhood cancer and that he misses him badly. It may be a tender topic, but I just don't believe it. It feels like the sympathy/pity card ramped up to the Nth degree. Especially now that he is collecting people on Facebook.

Is it possible this is a recent development and she still has it?
