Sorry Chris. Everyone doesn't agree with you.

Yes, Equestria Girls does look terribad, but your hate just coincides with everyone else's hate, much like the way you coincidentally breathe air like us humans do.

I agree with Chris. Hear me out on this.

Aside from his off point about pedophiles being welcomed in with open arms, the rest of his rant is actually pretty spot on. The problem with taking the MLP horses and turning them into people is that it strips away many layers of the otherworldly nature. The basement dwellers don't like MLP because of its cuteness, they like it because embracing a talking horse in a made-up fantasy world takes them completely out of their miserable realities. It's escapism at its finest.

He's saying that humans aren't the problem. In the previous generations of MLP there were humans that took care of the ponies. The problem with making the ponies into humans is that it's no longer escapism, it''s no longer fantasy, it's trashy teen pop drama akin to the power puff girls when they gave them hands and tits.

All the shows he names are more intelligent than prissy "random access humor" cartoon network series and I think Chris gets lost in the idea of being a nihilistic Daria or a teen witch. Watching that kind of stuff helps pacify him over to the next day and he enjoys the shows even when he doesn't understand all the jokes. Daria is just high enough over his head that he can feel good about understanding intelligent humor without being completely lost in what is happening.

This pony shit lacks the fun escapism of MLP and doesn't give the humor of Daria. It's the worst of both worlds, teen girls nobody gives a fuck about and jokes and plot that a child can easily comprehend. Chris doesn't like it because it offers him nothing.

I dont know if you can call all that "Human" They're technicolor people who clearly still use magic, so its not like theyre just saying that theyre bring humans who have no connection to the show.
Plus, I dont think that "a plot a child can easily comprehend" a bad thing in chris's book, since his favorite shows tend to be pretty juvenile. Assuming that chris likes any amount of intellectualism is not going to get you many points.

Chris, you are way too late, the perverts are already prevalent in the fan-base. To be honest, with all the autism and the other issues he has, I'm surprised he's not a "clopper". I just find it funny that he's starting to hate the only thing he likes anymore.

I learned about this months ago, and while I don't follow the series, I thought that Equestria Girls was an unnecessary spin-off. Way to avoid ethnicity issues by keeping the ponies' original skin colors. Now they just look like aliens.

Lauren Faust hasn't worked on the series for over two years Chris. Oh how I love whiny unresearched rants.

I was just thinking the exact same thing. Faust has lost creative control over the show, and Chris really seems to think that the voice actors have some kind of creative rights over the show. You know, as opposed to the writers, the director or hey...Hasbro?

That being said, I really don't understand why they decided to create a show like Equestria Girls. If they wanted to do somehing for the teenage girl demographic, surely there were better ways. Maybe by greenlighting Faust's Galaxy Girls show or something. ( http://milkywayandthegalaxygirls.com/ )

Also for those that don't know what Chris is talking about:

This.

(And the trailer.)

Good lord, it's like someone decided to make a tv show out of one of the many, many "X But in Higschool" fanfics.

I like how even Chris thinks cloppers are sick fucks.

Even Chris has standards. They might be low, but they're there.

He freaks out about this as if it has any bearing on his life. It's called a remote, you can just change the channel. You'd kind of figure this would be up his tomgirl alley, but it's probably just a bitter reminder that he had no magical powers or real friends in high school.

Also, he needs to stop name-dropping Daria. Chris, no.

The "high school perverts" thing is pretty hilarious coming from a grown-ass man who still fantasizes about going back and bagging his high school gal-pals.

He's just butthurt because this will now make him associate MLP with high school and will remind him of how much he wants to return to those golden years, far away from the big, mean adult world full of ]:(P and :pickle:, which in turn will cause him even more |:( and :briefs: and finally make him (:_( .

In a few words, MLP: FIM will no longer serve as a safe, STRESS-free pony haven for Our Pet Lolcow, and that makes him angry.

^Spot on. I think Chris looks for the purest form of escapism in his choice of entertainment. Anything that reminds him of his pitiful adult life causes da stress that makes him crash into slumber.

Wait, he only found out about it now? Weren't we discussing what would happen if he found out about the MLP humans show a few months ago?

Hm.

Terrorist bombings, school shootings, constant threats to even his tugboat because of government cuts - Chris says nothing.

But, gracious, if they dare change the fucking ponies ....

In the first controversial episode, Pinkie Pie deals with the challenges of teenage pregnancy, apparently.
