I don't see Chris having anything pleasant to say for the foreseeable future. Nothing that Anna will bother liking at least. I have a feeling that Chris will be in a bad mood for quite awhile. Maybe Fridays After Five will cheer him up when it starts in a couple of weeks, although he's probably too afraid that trolls will be there to go.

Barb won't let him go most likely.
 
FAF might actually be good for Chris. It would be real shitty if Snyder went and Chris was there too though. You know Mike would be cool, but as soon as Chris sees him it's going to be a bad time for everyone.
 
If Chris did see Snyder at FaF, the whole "I'm done with The Game Place" would be thrown out the window with a pinch of tardrage.

Yeah, if Chris could behave himself (which is a big if) Fridays after Five would be good for him. Of course, Barb would never let him go.
 
Chris is on probation isn't he? If he gets in trouble, he's screwed. Maybe Barb wants to wait for the probation to expire before letting him do anything.
 
Barb is barely letting him leave the house to get food. A local event featuring people, music, and fun? No fucking way. Barb is miserable so Chris has to be at least just as miserable too.

She did let him to that anime/gaming/whatever con so maybe she would let him go out to a local event. That said I find it a moot point since honestly I don't see anybody approaching him to chat and he sure as hell won't approach anybody that isn't selling burgers.

I have no doubt that he's learned about emotional manipulation from her. He doesn't know how to employ it, but he knows that it's a means to an end. Barb will say, "Chrishun, I'm jussa poor ol' woman who took care of ya since birth. If you wanna go out and leave me alone in this house you must not love me." Chris will say, "PLEASE, Damian Antaria, SLEEP WITH ME! I don't want to have to spend $50 on a damn HOOKER!"

Yeah, I've never taken his lack of sophistication as a lack of subversive or malicious intent. Chris' feeble attempts at deception, reverse psychology, and extortion may seem laughable to us - because they are often so transparent or half baked - but I bet he thinks he's frickin' Danny Ocean pulling a masterful swerve on a potential piece of China or a dimwitted gay JERK.

IMO, Chris' lack of sophistication, spinelessness, and weakness are the only things keeping him from becoming a full blown predator (because goodness knows his bent moral compass always points to him). If he had more refined tools for psychological manipulation, had less fear of reprisal, and were physically stronger than a 4 year old, I sincerely believe he would be moderately dangerous to a number of unwitting people in his path to... WHATEVER end Chris seeks (I honest don't even know these days).

Any idea if Barb would enjoy going to Fridays After Five? Maybe with her as a chaperone, Chris could go.

Is Barb so paranoid, so decrepit, so averse to fun, and/or so intent on hoarding Chris that she wouldn't want to get out of the hoard for a few hours every week?

Barb pretty much just lets Chris leave the house to get food and do errands for her.

Chris lets her control him because he's a wuss and actually thinks he'll get kicked out of the house if he defies her.

Has it started yet? But yeah, she might go with him there, if he really pushes for it.

Fatty's a pussy and he's got a bunch of things on his mind he wants to do, but I don't know how many of them he'll really push for.

Really, now that I think about it, someone (Barb or trolls or someone else) could push Chris to do things to better his life, but otherwise, he's just going to spend the rest of Barb's days playing PS3 in 14BC.
