Actually, I went to meetup.com and looked for game places in Charlottesville, one of the groups meets once a week at the Game Place

If I took selfishness in the literal term, I would be saying that Barb was giving Chris toys to shut him up and money so he can stop cross-dressing as well as for "little things" he wants and therefore that wouldn't be selfishness. You could say that selfishness is by taking advantage for one's gain hence Barb coddles Chris to keep herself company so she doesn't die alone despite how her coddling limited Chris's mental development.

Exactly. None of that was for Chris' benefit. It was only about her and it has always been only about her. Even bribing him with toys to get him to talk was to make it easier on her. And everything she has given him is just a way to keep him on her leash.
