How exactly does she enforce this? By just guilt-tripping Chris? Threatening to keel over and die if he goes anywhere he's not authorized? Or is she taking advantage of his gullible nature and trusting he won't call her bluff regarding her threats to kick him out?

I doubt it. I think this is just another attempt to get people to stop trolling him. He thinks the trolls are all coming from the Game Place, so saying "I want nothing to do with the Game Place" is just him demanding that people stop trolling him.

He's a massive pussy. When other people get confrontational with him, he can just walk away from them or not look at their comments. But since he has to live with Barb, his only pussy option is to do exactly as she says.

It's probably a little more basic than that. The CWCki says Barb wasn't one for churchgoing, at least not to Wesley Mem. Naturally, Chris was gradually drawn away from churchgoing, too; home makes him feel slightly less unfulfilled.
