That's because any attempt at connecting with people createsYep. An important thing to remember about Chris is that any IRL hero he has will eventually become a blood enemy.

Yeah, I can see that! You've certainly dealt with Chris enough so yes.
IIRC, yes, she did choose to be celibate. And I've only met her twice (the more recent time was an extended meeting though), but based on my perception of her, both in person and from second hand accounts... She would probably tell Chris (in a straightforward, no-nonsense tone) that he needs to take responsibility for his own issues and learn to be functional.
So mayhap she would be lumped in with the trolls and bullies, too. Or he'd say that someone deliberately misinformed her.
All speculation of course. And that's if he would even have the chance to speak with her!
Also, she's chosen to spend her life celibate, hasn't she? He might feel offended by that because she's "spreading" the joke of abstinence or something.
I think this is the first time Chris hasn't added something like "it'd be an honor to meet them but an even more honor for them to meet me, the creator of Sonichu". Like he actually might understand that this woman doesn't know him already.
I don't dispute that would be the likely outcome if she sat down with him for a few minutes. But if she gives a public speech and Chris goes, he would listen and find a few things that he agress with, and then go home and post on facebook something like "Temple Grandin is really well-respected and she says that people need to understand autistic people better. So there trolls."
He might also find something he disagrees with and point it out on facebook as if he is an even more well-respected autism advocate gently pointing out to Dr. Grandin some of the flaws in her thinking.
But I can't see how they would have an opportunity to meaningfully interact.

Nobody cares about My Little Pony. Please try to keep comments related to Chris' interaction with it. If you want to sperg about the details of a children's show, Off-Topic is the correct place.
I'd like to see this discussion split off into two discussions, like the updates,
With a separate discussion link. I like seeing the fb posts, but wading through all this spergyness is giving me a headache
They say you shouldn't meet your heroes, because you'll discover that they're not the perfect people you've imagined and you'll be disappointed. In Chris' case, he should never meet his heroes because they won't consider him to be the perfect person he imagines himself to be and he'll be blangry.Yep. An important thing to remember about Chris is that any IRL hero he has will eventually become a blood enemy.
He would absolutely do this if she mentioned spergs. After all they're just a bunch of faking fakers stealing the limelight from TRUE and HONEST autistic people. He might also find something he disagrees with and point it out on facebook as if he is an even more well-respected autism advocate gently pointing out to Dr. Grandin some of the flaws in her thinking.
I think he just filled it out in his typically literal fashion and put the physical location where he looks after Barb's holey buttocks and where Sonichu could be found.
So I take it Catherine's formally left the picture, then? Or has she been out of it for a long time, and Chris has only recently accepted that?

That's par for the course so far as the big CWC is concerned. I recall he didn't back down from the Wallflower even after she told him she hated him and never wanted to have anything to do with him. Chris is both unable to pick up on signals and stubborn as a mule when china is on the line. What I'm about to tell you is second-hand information, so please take it as such.
Catherine's purpose was merely to obtain information, mainly about Chris and his living situation post fire. It was never intended to be a long-term thing.
From what I know, Catherine tried to let him down easy, but he refused to accept that they weren't a couple anymore. He insisted that she just needed some time to think things through, (and she'd "come to her senses" or whatever). It looks like she finally managed to convince him.
It was the same with Megan. It seems to only make Chris try harder to change the girls opinion. That's par for the course so far as the big CWC is concerned. What makes this extra depressing is that he's probably only seen Catherine in person once. What I'm about to tell you is second-hand information, so please take it as such.

He saw her once for sure, or at least he said he saw her IRL at least once. Personally, I'm getting to the point where I'm wondering just how many times does Chris have to have a fake girlfriend before he gets it... like at least he's asking to meet in person or bust, but he's not even getting kisses or hugs or anything from these "girlfriends". Most relationships, even long distance ones, have hugging and kissing and other intimate activities. As it sounds, he met her once, talked on the phone (maybe?), and emailed her. That's it. And it sounds like it wasn't even daily contact, more like weekly... So how does Chris explain this to himself? I know he has expert skills in mental gymnastics, but damn. What makes this extra depressing is that he's probably only seen Catherine in person once.
