"Listen, attempting to get someone potentially killed by police is terrible, however I really really don't like this guy, and am willing to put my morals aside as such."

Like come on man, do better.

I love how they cry “WE SHOULDNT BE SHARING THIS!!!” any time something like this comes up. It’s like they don’t trust their own userbase to be smart enough to realize whether it’s BS or not

They don't. They honestly don't trust that anyone on that site is left or woke enough. They are in Salem hunting for witches.

For those who don't know: This is a reaction to Unity merging with IronSource, a malware company.
Here's a nice quote from the Unity CEO:
https://www.pocketgamer.biz/interview/79190/unity-ironsource-john-riccitiello-marc-whitten-merger/ (https://archive.ph/L0sOV)
Implementing monetisation earlier in the process and conversation is certainly an angle that has seen pushback from some developers.

Riccitiello:
Ferrari and some of the other high-end car manufacturers still use clay and carving knives. It’s a very small portion of the gaming industry that works that way, and some of these people are my favourite people in the world to fight with – they’re the most beautiful and pure, brilliant people. They’re also some of the biggest fucking idiots.

I’ve been in the gaming industry longer than most anybody – getting to the grey hair and all that. It used to be the case that developers would throw their game over the wall to the publicist and sales force with literally no interaction beforehand. That model is baked into the philosophy of a lot of artforms and medium, and it’s one I am deeply respectful of; I know their dedication and care.

But this industry divides people between those who still hold to that philosophy and those who massively embrace how to figure out what makes a successful product. And I don’t know a successful artist anywhere that doesn’t care about what their player thinks. This is where this cycle of feedback comes back, and they can choose to ignore it. But to choose to not know it at all is not a great call.

I’ve seen great games fail because they tuned their compulsion loop to two minutes when it should have been an hour. Sometimes, you wouldn’t even notice the product difference between a massive success and tremendous fail, but for this tuning and what it does to the attrition rate. There isn’t a developer on the planet that wouldn’t want that knowledge.

Lol, can't quench these fucks even if you try. It only ends in rating spam, just like on FP!
The way these guys have the mods on a leash is fucking hilarious "-Sorry I'm at work I'll look later-"... they still have the audacity to drop a completely unnecessary and passive aggressive mark on the janny who's trying in good faith, for free

ko troons are constantly flip flopping between "MODS HAVE JOBS THEY CAN'T DO EVERYTHING INSTANTLY" and "WTF WHY WASN'T WRONGTHINK BANNED 1 SECOND AFTER POSTING???"

You'd think that they'd pick one, but then again, this is KO. Wrongthink must be removed no greater than 0.123456 seconds after it is posted or people will seethe their asses off because IT'S KILLING TRANS MINORITIES or some shit.

I check this thread now and again and I feel like I've just finally accepted the site is completely dead. Not that there was ANY hope, but UncleJim at least seemed to hold the last embers from a once great community. With him gone (let me repeat for the umpteenth time, he never disparaged the trans community once, just a few individuals) I feel like I can finally accept it's gone.

It's still pretty funny to see the remaining survivors rip each other apart the moment someone says something out of line. At this point it's kinda like an autistic battle royale of who will populate the remaining of that dead husk of a community.
