And Steam. The comments on steam breaks the narrative in their heads that they always have the right opinion. So they'll harass Valve to take down his game, remove the comments, ban the people who reviewed the game positively and, quite possibly, have all three of these things happen. Steam has been a thorn in the side for online Progressives for a long time and it won't be long before the media starts making hit peaces saying Steam has been harboring "hate groups."

Valve basically own PC gaming. Even with a coordinated push from the media it would be very hard to change that. Epic games failed at it. EA failed at it. Ubisoft failed too. The only real competition is non-client based stores that are DRM free.

One major area where the creator's misdeeds might alienate me from the creation is if it's too obtrusive and causes you to reinterpret it in a way you no longer like it. For instance, Woody Allen's schtick as a likable nebbish goes out the window if you believe he's actually a child molester. You're sitting there thinking this dude fucks kids.

Ironically, because Polanski's work is a lot more creepy and disturbing, you more think yeah, I can buy that a sick fuck would make a movie like this.

Not that either of these guys is remotely comparable to a guy who dislikes Communism because it wrecked his fucking country.

I didn't throw out my current razors, but I did go out and buy a safety razor and a big pack of Japanese blades. No power level, but I do a lot of A/B analysis around company or product behavior and sales activities... people do notice these kinds of trends on their bottom line if you can get enough people to join in.

Unfortunately, the developer is a Gamer(trademarked) cry-baby who thinks that communism leads directly to genocide and that catching flak for linking to truly toxic people is cancelling. Also seems to believe that SJWs are a real thing and a threat.

Don't get me wrong, there's lots of good here, but this kind of behaviour is not cool and there are certain things (outlined below) are things that in my opinion signify that the developer has not considered certain implications of their game and that they've not considered certain details within their game.

There are sketchy things in the game such as referring to fauna as "the natives" that you have to defend yourself against, which uh, isn't great given the fact that this is how native peoples have been referred to in a dehumanising manner.

This is straight-up racist.

Combat is also lacklustre, and yes, I know this isn't a game focused on that, but it is a still an important component given the fact that your expansion relies on development of defence destruction of nests of hostile creatures.

Just get literally any other option:

• Satisfactory - 3D, finite world, different kind of challenge, also has subtle anti-corporate messaging which is cool.
• Dyson Sphere Program - also 3D, has multiple planets!
• If you're more interested in management-style games, my recommendations are Oxygen Not Included and Going Medieval.
• Shapez dot io - completely abstract factory building

The game itself. I finally caved and bought it earlier today and lost an entire afternoon in the fucking thing. It's like digital crack for autists. I just beat the tutorial and I'm already feeling the itch for more of it. It's like adrenochrome for even slightly autistic people.
