She literally invented the first actually useful platform-independent operating system, COBOL, which is still in use today in some applications, although she did not invent the general idea of programming languages. Her importance isn't exaggerated for SJW reasons, in fact, SJWs like to ignore her to pretend that subsequent women in programming who didn't really do shit worth noting are more important than they are.

She was also a (rear) admiral in the U.S. Navy when a woman (a tiny little woman too) being that was extraordinary.

I imagine it just uses the same save folder in appdata but whether or not they're version compatible is another thing.

It started as a rebuttal of their critics pointing out that many of them advocate communism (despite its litany of visible failures), are on SSDI/Welfare/Live with their parents or the like, constantly complain about financial hardship, and then post shit from a 600 dollar iphone while wearing designer clothing, buying expensive consumer tat, and eating expensive take-out all the time.

Basically they got so assmad that people pointed out that they're privileged shitters that make terrible financial decisions that, as is usually the tradition with leftist memes, they repackaged the criticism into a strawman variant of it and used it to bitch (something true of them calling other people snowflakes, for example).

Yes but you'll need to copy the save to the app data directory for steam.

The standalone client doesn't use it AFAIK.

Because common conservative talking points in America regarding communism are "Venezuela is communist and in a shit state, communism has killed millions of people, you hate capitalism yet have an iPhone" etc. Since American conservatives do harp on these points a lot, it is often an effective rebuttal, even if it's a rebuttal against strawman versions of those arguments. However, an American trying to use that line of argument against a Czech, who probably personally knows people who remember the USSR invasion of Czechoslovakia and the brutal crackdowns afterwards, is in pretty bad taste and not particularly relevant to his point about a nasty person contributing to a field. They were just buttmad that a Czech rightfully pointed out that the Communist governments in eastern Europe sucked.
