What is a Fag Hag?
Wikipedia defines a Fag Hag as "a woman who associates mostly or exclusively with gay or bisexual men." The phrase was originally derogatory, but some women have identified with the term. God knows why.

What is a Handmaiden?
In more radical/gender critical feminist circles, Handmaidens are women who fully support and aid "the patriarchy", or things that hurt and degrade women societally. The term is from Margret Atwood's barely disguised rape fetish novel magnus opus, The Handmaid's Tale. They'll defend things like BDSM/kink, porn, prostitution, and the focuses of this thread: transgenderism and gay bullshit. Interestingly, despite the contents of the Handmaid's Tale, this term is not really used against conservative/right-wing women.


What makes a Fag Hag? And what makes a Handmaiden?

I just dont get all that. The previous site I worked at loads of the women were like this - really into drag race and gay clubs, and fawning over the gay men at work. I found it really peculiar.

Its because gay or straight, men just are so antisocial with each other they find it difficult to form groups for craft hobbies that isn't blacksmithing, leather working or woodworking. Because men are always up for it and will do more degenerate, spontaneous things. There's also an article in the bugchasing thread about how gay men aids is a substitute for pregnancy and it also mentions a man becoming a top because physically couldn't bottom any more. Maybe that's common, particularly as gay men seem to go in for age gaps.

I think two categories of fag hags should be distinguished:

1. fag hag: a woman who has gay male friends, believing them to be "declawed"/harmless men (despite the many stories of gay men groping women just because they can)
2. fag hag by proxy: a woman who capes for gay culture and trannies. Fag hags by-proxy are generally older than standard fag hags, because they're now married with kids and are no longer in university etc. where they actually associate with gays on a personal level--they might have the one gay coworker or neighbor at most--but their attitude toward gays is essentially the same.

For type 1, instead of one girl with a large number of fag friends, I generally witness the pattern of a single fag with many hags around him. If he is the sun, they are the planets. (On a side note, I can't call to mind any all-female friend groups that I see regularly! Always one faggot and 3 to 4 women. Male friend groups, of course, make no such concessions--they know how to gatekeep.)

My mother is passively "into" that sort of thing. She once had a phase where drag queen videos was all she would watch. What I still don't understand is that she defends drag and trannies even though she's religious, and has quoted the parts of the Bible that call male-male relationships an abomination.
But I think she's reached a point of cognitive dissonance because as much as she loves Jesus, she hates her made-up conservative boogeyman even more. Essentially, she wants to love everything that conservatives hate, so she "supports" things like drag from afar--despite the fact that, if she had a gay son, she would definitely throw his ass out.
I've had conversations about these things with her before and here's how they went:

• drag: "It's not like minstrel (my argument), it's more like cosplay. Harmless!"
• trannies: "They're a made-up problem. And while nonbinaries don't exist, I'm sure there are people who are genuinely trans."

Buying clothes is such a nightmare thanks to fags having a stranglehold over fashion that it prompted me to learn how to make my own. Do you have a larger bust and/or big hips but aren’t overweight/obese? Good luck finding anything that fits without having to size up so it looks like you’re wearing a garbage bag. Which makes sense, they hate boobs and hips and wish the women they made clothes for were really men. There’s a reason all those runway models have such an industry pressure to starve themselves.

This is the only pattern I’ve personally seen, too. Very effeminate fag who isn’t accepted among other males so he insinuates himself into a female friendship group, many of whom cape for him. I don’t understand it; maybe it’s feeling more secure/protected with having a man “on your side” (lol, he’s not) but in my experience, faggots (open or closeted, doesn’t matter which) tend to be even more misogynistic and generally nastier than even regular men.
