Fairfax County, Virginia — On Monday, September 16, at approximately 10:17 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 11800 block of Sunrise Valley Drive in Reston for a welfare check. FCPD received a request from a mental health professional to conduct a welfare check on 33-year-old "Sydney" Wilson, of Reston, who was reported to be in an agitated state. Police Officer First Class (PFC) Peter Liu knocked on Wilson’s door. Wilson opened it and immediately closed the door. The officer continued to try to speak with xir and after approximately two minutes, Wilson opened the door again. This time, Wilson was in possession of a knife and immediately begins slashing at the officer with a knife, striking him in the head. The officer was able to back away and attempted to de-escalate the situation with verbal commands. Wilson continued to approach with the knife and the officer discharged his weapon, striking xir three times in the upper body. Responding officers immediately rendered aid until Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department arrived. Wilson was taken to an area hospital where xe was pronounced deceased. The officer was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Iirc I thought the bodycam push really kicked off after Mike the Jolly Brown Giant. By the time Floyd couldn't breef I'd already heard some of the same activists who pushed for bodycams turn around and call them racist.

I'm not sure if everyone forgot or what but the officers involved in the Floyd arrest had bodycams. I watched it from both angles. It really is a self-own for the left because watching those it's clear the officers were in the right (or at the very least not guilty of any kind of murder/manslaughter). She played college basketball in 2012, and it absolutely would have raised controversy (and praise) if there was a troon on a women's basketball team, especially not one that was making the March Madness tournament and shit.
