Note: This thread has been changed many times to rectify the problem of false accusations regarding many channels where the accuser has no proof of such thing happening.

For over a decade, Urban exploration has become a interesting topic amongst many people and have eventually become an essential market tactic exploited by many creators for revenue. Eventually you'll find a lot of fake Urbex videos of people claiming they found expensive jewelry while ripping apart walls to remove copper pipes and claim someone stole the copper. Many of them go into paranormal subjects and claiming said place is haunted and there exists many urbex videos of people claiming to find dead bodies over and over again. Some even claim to explore abandoned military bases in dictatorship heavy countries. With what's been said, like the Animal Rescue Videos and the Primitive Building Videos. Tons of these videos have been exposed as being fake and has been called out by actual urban explorers. I'll list many examples of Urbex Channels abusing the subject to get views.

Channels accusing other channels on being fake
With that being said. I am aware of many Urbex Channels wrongfully calling out authentic urbex channels for being fake, 360Investigations is an infamous example.
Video of an Urbex explorer calling out Urbex Channels. He accuses Freaktography of faking the money he found at one abandoned house. This is one in 3 narratives used against Freaktography. (Which also explains his posts on this thread but I understand why. Being falsely accused is such a big deal. Many lives have been ruined because of these false accusations and I don't want it to happen to Freaktography).

Paranormal Channels
Note: These videos are often considered novelty and speculation.
Some of these Urban Exploration videos often involve a little exploration and then a massive segment of them trying to communicate to a paranormal being using a 'ghost communicator'. Adam Mark Explores is a known for being one on the Paranormal buzzword with clickbait titles stating how terrifying these houses are. Many Paranormal channels use an app that claims to talk to spirits. With that being said. Adam Mark Explores only revolves around speculation of urban legends and offers interesting insights even if Spirit Talker was proven to be a gimmick. But if evidence suggests spirits are trapped in these locations, it would be astonishing to see. Some channels like to abuse the paranormal trends and claim they really found ghosts or other weird things with poor acting.

Coincidentally every place he's been to is haunted.

MLS Abusers
Many Urbex Explorers claim they have found these places and take credit for finding these places. However, they got the property through bids just to explore it and tell the location off to their friends. One of many channels known for doing this include Bigbankz, a 25 year old man from Oklahoma who buys these properties for Urbex exploration and later reveal the location just to call the cops on them for trespassing later on. Exploring with Josh is a very famous Urbex explorer who also has been abusing MLS as well as using clickbait thumbnails of buzzwords such as exorcist and freemason's just to get views.

The house in Ontario, Canada that has been abandoned since 1999 has already been explored by various different amounts of people including Freaktography, Abandoned Urbex Canada, Noah Nowhere, and Exploring with Angelo.

I also remember seeing YouTube comments about the condition of the house before any of these explorers went in. This also explains why they could easily enter the house. It was probably an MLS.

One of many explorers who explored the MLS 1977 Tuscan Villa Mansion that has a flooded basement.

With that being said. Making videos about MLS's isn't bad in particular. I do love when people make updates on said location. Freaktography on the updates on that house (that same house 360 Investigations falsely accused him of faking) is such a blast from the past.

People claiming to explore military bases in brutal dictatorship countries
Note: As of right now, information about sheiy is currently under speculation.
Many people claim to do illegal things in second or third world countries with brutal dictatorship laws such as Serbia, Montenegro, China, etc. Shiey (also known as ILLEGAL FREEDOM) for example makes videos about train surfing and exploring bunkers and military bases in the countries he claimed to be in. It's suggested that, Train Surfing and Military Base Exploring is highly prohibited in said countries they claim to be in and Shiey would've been arrested for it.
Video claiming Sheiy to be faked.

People who claim to find corpses, abducted people and other illegal things
Lastly, there has also been Urbex channel abusing the dead body trend for views. Lewis Clark for example posts videos of him coincidentally finding a bunch a strange absurd things inside the mansion and even have to audacity to say they're not clickbait. Had these videos actually have been real, they would've been taken down for Community Guidelines violations on shocking gory content and many of these channels would remain dormant for years (but would not look like the find crazy shit every time) when they are killed by said people because clearly what these people are, they're actors.

Really fucking shitty clickbait material there. It's ImJayStation all over again. But then again, It's kind of amazing how hilariously bad this channel is and it can be enjoyed ironically or if drunk. Sometimes a user would make an Urbex video that parodies the fake ones.

Channels falsely accused of faking things.
When I originally wrote this article, I initially believed 360 Investigation's accusation without doing any research (Massive mistake on my part). Freaktography has fallen victim to this accusation and he told me about 2 other different false narratives about the house with the 6,800 dollars inside. This explains why I had to rewrite many things in this thread so Freaktography won't end up in the same pool as someone like Lewis Clark. shiey might also be under this category too.

With that being said, these are some of the people who have been abusing the Urbex trend and are making real Urbex explorers look bad. Have they been honest about not finding these places, it wouldn't of been so bad so long as they don't abuse the paranormal trend and other weird shit. Obviously when I was watching Abandoned Urbex Canada and Freaktography I knew for a fact they explore both already discovered locations and locations they found themselves.

if you can think of some niche like this on youtube that gets algorithm boosted, chances are there's always a laughably fake clickbait version of it out there somewhere. i've heard about how there's also a whole network of "primitive building" and "100 year old item restoration" videos that are totally fake too, would be worth looking into in some other threads or here.

What's a MLS?

I think we have threads for those.

I honestly never watched any fake item restoration videos or restoration videos in general but I have been suckered into believing these fake primitive building videos were real. It's such a cruel thing to claim to do something good when really they're playing the masses as fool for revenue. Fake Animal Rescue channels are the absolute worst.

Lovely OP. Very interesting. I hope this one has some legs because I would like to check in periodically. Urban exploration has always been intriguing to me, and I’m not surprise that this, like everything else, is farcical.

These are a real treat. The Asian ones are the best. They typically all follow the same syntax. Fat Asian guy is going for a walk outside of his shithovel, and the happens upon an innocuous pile of trash. He starts poking at it with a stick and viola, a random destroyed (“”) Nintendo 3DS appears! All of the damage on the thing is superficial, like, they will poke holes through the plastic shell and smear mud all over it. You’ve honestly got to watch a couple of these videos. They’re great, and people think they’re legitimate.

I don't really think Shiey fakes his videos, but I'm willing to get proved wrong.
Imo, Shiey is basically more of a train surfer at this point.

The military bunkers he goes into look pretty decommissioned and forgotten, especially since the equipment left behind is ancient. It's not uncommon for abandoned places to still have electricity running (most of the time it's to discourage scrappers from ripping out the wires in case the owner has plans to use the building in the future, sometimes it's the utility company not disconnecting them for whatever reason), so I'm relatively certain his last urbex videos from 4-7 months ago are legit.

I have watched shiey for a very long time. Most of his videos where he does illegal shit are now deleted. The tallest elevator in europe climb, multiple sneaking into factories videos, some city exploration stuff are now gone. He got caught a few times and also uploaded videos of it, but that too has been privated. Some of these videos are recoverable through archive if you can bear through it. I do not blame the dude for covering his ass after becoming famous and the livestream saga.

There are some Urbex Channels who are better than others. Shiey does make interesting videos and he's an expert at parkour, he does seem like a interesting guy as well but I can confirm not everything he says are true. I actually still like most of Freaktography's videos usually unrelated to the truly fraud ones. I would openly forgive Freaktography if he does admit some of those fake videos he's done was a fraud and promises not to do them again. I still like Abandoned Urbex Canada despite most of his locations being an MLS. He never claimed he found to place to begin with on those MLS's. Many of them are notorious locations such as the community near Vancouver which was abandoned due to sinkhole issues and the infamous bar known as Aetherly Arms that was turned into a shithole strip club and was abandoned. I do like both Abandoned Urbex Canada and Freaktography's videos on that house I mentioned that was abandoned in 1999. If they explore an MLS, give context where it shows the weren't the ones to find it, that's perfectly fine. I could still watch Freaktography's videos despite being a liar in many instances but I have lost plenty of respect for him for some of these bad tactics alone. I was often certain watching Adam Mark Explores that he could be faking those videos too. Paranormal activity videos just always seem like novelty videos, I often feel if I were to communicate with the deceased and the spirits, it would usually happen in my dreams of some sort or the voices may be in my head. That's what I'm suggesting. Lewis Clark is an example of one of the bottom of the barrel channels regarded Urban Exploration. Coincidentally finding fucked up shit is incredibly rare on normal Urbex Channels. When I watched Abandoned Urbex Canada, the most graphic he ever comes across is a rotting carcass inside a farm house that was abandoned in the Early 2000s and a little bloodstain on a bookshelf of a hoarded house that's even worse than 14BC, he doesn't fake shit that other people do (at least I hope not). Lewis Clark in every video claims to have come across a dead body or an abducted person or an actual murderer. Watching all these Urbex channels growing up. I can easily tell anything Lewis Clark shows is absolutely too good to be true. So the curtain has been revealed. Fake pranks, Fake restoration videos, Fake primitive building videos, Fake urbex videos, Fake animal rescue videos, Fake bomb threat videos, Fake midnight sun Antarctica footages (it actually does happen in Antarctica though as proven from webcams in Ushuaia), Fake amusement park accident videos (Theme Park Review is mostly genuine be he has uploaded some of those accident videos fooled into thinking they're real) some people even faked thunderstorm and tornado footage, so many things on YouTube are fake. I am really sick and tired of it. When I wanted to watch videos related to those topics, I want to see actual genuine videos. I don't want any of these assholes lying to me and I get more pissed off at them when I do find out they're lying to me. Someone on twitter claiming to have the footage of a lost 1972 anime called Mon Cheri Coco but never dumps the footage for the world to see. I assumed this situation wasn't as bad back then when channel monetization wasn't even a thing and people made YouTube videos for fun. I just want people to be honest, but always there are assholes and we all be played by them.

Edit: I crossed out the mentions of Freaktography because what was said was proven wrong.

Major League Soccer?

Explore with Josh used to be okay (he seems to have some kind of learning disability) until he started teaming up with jackasses like Sam & Colby and getting into paranormal investigations. Money ruined everything, as is usually the case. Pre-2017 you could find legit paranormal investigations, usually spoopy EVP stuff, and random Canadian moms exploring abandoned mansions, but now everything is fake and monetized.

Omargoshtv might be the fakest, most annoying YouTuber who ever existed.

I actually do enjoy Freaktography's content. I loved many of his videos but some of them are unfortunately faked.
Even worse is when Freaktography was called out on this, he responds in a much negative tone. I understand he might be desperate for money but still.

Okay, I realized the person who called out Freaktography could be lying about him and Freaktography actually responds to criticism pretty well and acknowledges it so he gets more of my respect.

So yeah. I realized many Urbex channels who call out other Urbex channels for faking things have themselves actually faked things. 360 Investigations just doesn't get along with Freaktography.

Ohhhh please tell me more about how I faked this! I love it when this comes up
I think someone is impersonating Freaktography and making him sound more immature than he actually is. The real Freaktography loved my comment when I mentioned this to him about Urbex channels faking things. Turns out 360 Investigations accuse Freaktography over this one video because of it because he thought is was too good to be true. So with that being said. I can't argue on behalf of 360 Investigations since he might be accusing real Urbex channels on being faked. When making this thread. I didn't realize there was another side to the story. So I'll rectify this when I get more information.
