I'm blindsided by how funny this launch is.

This needs to be a new random text.
This is like a gordian knot of stupidity.

In theory, a Fallout game where you're the only living human being lost in a wilderness could be really cool, but it would have to lean heavily on the survival aspects of the gameplay. Which this doesn't.

I'm just mad Point Lookout had creepy mutant Deliverance hillbillies and this, apparently, doesn't.

If you could mod it, I could see people enjoying it for small multiplayer groups.

The product that is available for purchase is pathetic, they deserve more shit than Blizzard and the mobile Diablo announcement tbh

It should have been like a 20/30 dollar add-on for fallout 4.

Hell, Metal Gear Solid V added their multiplayer expansion for free and it was less shittly put together and less an insult to the intelligence of the MGS fans.

And unlike Elder Scrolls Online, which at least had the decency to not bastardize it's own lore, F76 is ultimately an excuse to make a Fallout MMORPG, and a very poorly constructed one at that.

Fallout 76 doesn't even qualify as an MMO, MMO's typically have npcs and quests.

Hence the very poorly constructed part. Bethseda could have gone the MMO route like most sane people and possibly turned out something moderately decent like they did with ESO, which, at worst, is decent.

Instead, they decided to do the next worst thing.

It's like ARK: Survival Evolved with any effort at actually challenging the player removed at this point.

The lengths these mindless drones will go to attempting to justify why 76 doesn't break the lore is simply astounding.

While it's perfectly plausible some mutants escaped from Vault 87 and migrated, I seriously doubt that explains why they are in West Virginia in numbers suitable for an invading army, given it was established they actually stuck around DC looking for FEV and captured any human they could find to dunk them in Vault 87's FEV to keep their numbers going, not to mention it was also established they had good reason to believe more FEV than existed in the vault could be found in DC, given Dr. Lesko in FO3 managed to find some that WASN'T from the vault in downtown DC.

>RPG with literally no real quests (holotapes and robot fetch/kill shit shouldn't count), interchangeable perks, and a practically meaningless stat system shat together into a generic popamole with brain dead AI isn't well-received

Guess they ran out of luck.
I thought this was about Fallout 76 not Fallout 4

In all seriousness they've been watering down Fallout since New Vegas but New Vegas made up for it as it actually did feel like I was getting somewhere and had to deal with actual threats. Fallout 4 felt like a shooter where the only difficulty was trying to make certain enemies bullet spongy.

They are exceptional afterall.

This game is a fucking joke. Todd fallouthas200endings howard saw what kind of money games of service makes and he wanted in. Todd everymountainisclimbable howard knows people will buy his shit if he paints it gold. Bethesda knows what they did.
