Okay let’s say you have a ps5, and have online, and then you tried to download fallout new Vegas off ps plus but it streams it instead of downloading the game? What? Why? What’s that mean? How do you save the game? It auto saves it so I guess you could keep your spot, but I remember on the Xbox 360 I was constantly saving it and reloading it. I don’t want it to auto save it.

I don't know Playstation is the one platform I didn't play fallout on

You remember how the games used to stream off the plastic disc? Now it's over the network. The save file is still local. The immediate instance of the game is still in the RAM. You just get the next part off the network instead of the DVD or hard drive. (Technically it almost assuredly caches a bunch of data on the hard drive somewhere.)

the game being "streamed" means you are basically watching a livestream of the game that you are interacting with using a controller. Basically the stadia shit that crashed and burned because streaming games is retarded. If you really want to play it any potato these days will be able to run the pc version, don't bother with that "cloud" gaming shit

edit

also PS Plus uses the PS3 version which is notoriously buggy and runs like shit.

This game can’t really be enjoyed or played properly if you can’t save it and reload it. That’s a lot of choices on the game. Every once in a while you might want to reload it to a few seconds or a minute back after doing something you didn’t want. A character might accidentally get killed by someone else and you need to reload it, or you accidentally attack or shoot someone and need to reload it because that was on accident. First thing when I started playing a dog almost got killed by geckos and I would have wanted to reload it if the dog died but you can’t save the game or reload it. It only reloads if you die. But unless you have grenades already it might be tricky to kill yourself. And what if it auto saves while ur trying to kill ur set to reload? Then you couldn’t.

I heard a tale of someone running from a fight in new vegas bleeding out and they run in a shack. It autosaves, they bleed out, and they had no other save. Whenever they reload they just bleed out. Had to start a fresh game.
