Fallout series

This, I think, is the biggest sticking point for human settlements. Every ghoul is a ticking time-bomb.

"Ageless" would probably be a better word than "immortal," as ghouls aren't really that much harder to kill than humans. Maybe in an irradiated area, sure. But if the background radiation is strong enough to make a difference, then the humans probably have much bigger problems.
Tenpenny was right.

Fallout 3 and NV's DLC's are heavily marked down on the Xbox Store to celebrate Fallout's 20th anniversary.

Fallout 3's DLCs are $2 each. Is it worth it?

Does that trigger the massacre? I just usually kill them all for some caps.
I have no idea honestly I haven't played 3 in forever since the hell I had to go through to make TTW after the removal of Games for Windows Live then refunding 3.

Not really for 3 outside of Broken Steel if ya wanna keep playing after beating the main story, Operation Anchorage is mid but has some nice rewards including giving you PA training even if its the literal first thing you do after leaving Vault 101 so it might be worth it too if ya like PA and basically an unbreakable set of it due to an error in the coding that makes the reward version the simulation version with insanely high item hp.

For a total of ten bucks, sure. Broken Steel is pretty much a necessity (the game ends with the final story mission otherwise, and it lets you hit 30th level with some hilariously OP Perks), Point Lookout is a ton of fun, and all the others, while covering the gamut from good (The Pitt) to meh (Operation Anchorage) to awful (Mothership Zeta) have fantastic loot for rewards. Zeta in particular gives you a whole bunch of alien weaponry to play with and an Alien Epoxy that stands in for New Vegas's weapon repair kits.

They are hideous and repulsive. Their genetics are fried so they can only procreate other ghouls. They can turn feral and violent. They can give off dangerous levels of radiation. They smell and likely can carry disease or plague. They seem to be prone to crime. In Fallout 3 the ghouls no matter what happens, ultimately conspire to kill all humans in Tenpenny Tower, and they cannot peacefully coexist in the long term.

Think of ghouls almost like vampires. The cost of immortality is too high. And they cannot live in harmony with regular humans.
though fallout 3 lore aint that great, i do agree with your statement, but they should be like very hard to kill in the games

I think New Vegas, a fan favorite for some reason, is on sale too. Why is New Vegas well beloved compared to 3?

Fallout 4 is on sale too.

The Story is what carries it imo, its a really good video game story but gameplay and world falls flat for me, plus honestly i think some of its just being told its better than 3 and people believing it.

Gameplay is definitely better, just not by much in the grand scheme of things. Story is hit and miss, the Mojave is way too barren in comparison to DC, but the DLCs are better than 3s with maybe the exception of the Pitt.

mods make everything better tho

AMR loaded with .50 explosive rounds go brrr

One thing that I noticed elsewhere about Fallout discussion is how much people seethe and rage over Caesar's Legion. People are so furious about the faction and mention they couldn't stomach ever siding with them in a playthrough. From they way they talk, it's pretty clear they can't differentiate reality and fiction.
typical NCR cucks and yes man larpers, makes me wanna join them even more.

always joins Caesar's Legion. when im making an unarmed build because guns are for pussies.

If I had to only pick one type of weapon, it'd be fists. But I really like having guns. One shouldn't deny themselves powerful tools that can dominate their enemies. The goal is not to deny technology but to not become reliant on it.
True to Caesar.

i can agree with that. there is just something satisfying punching a deathclew so hard, it falls on its ass and getting stomped to death like the scene from American X that feels so right.

about the legion, there is a video not long that go into depth why people would join a faction like the legion and the reasons why the legion as a faction even exist to begin with.

Anyone with half a brain would realize that a faction like the Legion would be inevitable in event of an apocalypse that nearly reset the human species. Those in opposition to its very existence are delusional that the egalitarianism we have in first world countries is common. Hell, all one has to do is look at the rest of the world: corrupt democracies, dictatorships, and oligarchies. If the argument is based on technology or progress, you're dealing with a midwit who thinks the world runs by sid meier's civilization logic.

Better storytelling and probably the best execution of choice and consequences of a game of its type. Very engaging and well written with fun enough gameplay that allows a lot of variety. I'd recommend you get them on PC though to mod them.

New Vegas had better gunplay which ontop of what @draggs said makes it my favorite.

4 has better gunplay overall but its guns are fucking ugly nothing standout or memorable like A Light Shining In The Darkness, This Machine or That Gun.

EDIT: I am not beating the dead horse about 4's story or characters, that is a well worn topic now.
