Fallout series

Fallout NV isn't my favorite Fallout for sure, but I'll admit the .357 revolver in the game is pretty satisfying to use even without the perk.

The unique variant, Lucky, not only looks great but is a viable weapon through most of the game, if you focus on criticals and take Cowboy.

That son of a bitch is up there with Todd when it comes to making Bethesda shit.
Anyways, I think Broken Steel fixed a lot of the pacing now that the game was given a proper end game assault mission and post-game quests.
You're exactly right. You need to do almost nothing in Take It Back! thanks to Liberty Prime obliterating everything with eye beams and nukes, making the whole thing incredibly anti-climactic, and yet that makes his death at the start of Broken Steel that much more impactful since he was just as much the hero as you were. He died so democracy could live, so its up to us to avenge him in the name of freedom for the Wasteland.
Western Revolvers are just a straight up upgrades over the base game's .44 magnums, they basically make them obsolete unless you already have a good legendary effect on the base .44 magnum. This could have been easily avoided by making them use a rarer ammo type like the lever action's .45-70 gov(which is what I did, while also changing it's look to the Remington New Model Army)
The weapon balance is beyond terrible. Weaponsmith is arguably the closest you can get in a single mod package, and even then it still isn't consistent due to how many mods were integrated. A mall ninja Glock with so much shit slapped on even the urban demographic would look at it in horror is one of the best pistols you can get your hands on.
I'm going to piss everyone off by saying that I actually like the design of the Fallout 4 assault rifle.

HOWEVER—it looks completely out of place in Fallout. It looks more like something you'd get out of Nazi Zombies or some steampunk fps.
If it were a dedicated MG for use by power armored troops it wouldn't be out of place in the slightest since its just as bulky as they are and they would absolutely use something that has some sort of heavy-duty cooling considering the odds they're expected to face. I see no reason the BoS wouldn't rig up a water-cooled heavy rifle for their guys as some sort of expedient or just something more cost-effective than spraying everything with rounds from a minigun or energy weapon. I think it actually looks fine in that one photograph from the show where its oddly proportionate to the guy in PA despite being even bigger than it typically is.

Cowboy and Grunt are the two best damn perks in the game. The lever-action shotgun benefits from Cowboy in addition to Shotgun Surgeon, and since it uses the cheaper and more common 20 gauge its quite viable. And then of course after Honest Hearts you get ALSID which is just broken. Compared to the basic .45 it has more base damage (33 vs. 29), a 2x crit chance multiplier instead of just one, a faster fire rate (4.4 vs. 2.8), reduced AP costs (15 vs. 17), better spread (0.55 vs 0.8), more HP (250 vs. 150), and is even lighter (1.2 vs. 1.5), and all you give up for that is a single round less in the magazine, 75 Guns instead of 25 as a requirement, and the inability to mount a silencer. Its even an improved holdout weapon so you can sneak it into casinos. Unless you're specifically going for a cowboy build there's no reason not to use it.

Police Pistol all the way. It's a great little gun and looks great, even has a speedloader

Yeah, but if you get Hitman's animation mods the .357 has an awesome reload where you manually trigger the ejection rod... and you even do a twirl cock for the lever-action shotgun if you reload on an empty mag.
You use the ejection rod even in the base game, in fact if you go into third person it's even animated.

There is currently a very small scale shitstorm on the Fallout 4 Nexus because a Modder released a mod containing Modern Russian "Ratnik" Gear. (He even reached Front Page of Fallout 4 Mods!)

Not shockingly some Militantly Pro Ukraine People are having a bit of a shit fit over it, even prompting a Protest mod in response and calling for the modder to be banned.

The Dev of the Ratnik mod seems to be deleting and banning shit flingers from the comments of his mod, so you have to look at the Protest mod for some of the outrage, though I imagine there will be some more of this in the coming while.

The account that uploaded the Protest mod was made today, Its almost 100% a Throwaway either by the original Modder or another Modder who is ass blasted about the mod.

I wish Russia would nuke Kiev just to spite faggots like this.

Its a shame because I personally love those ridiculous helmets with the face shields and tiny vision slits the Russians have.

That said the guy who made the mod is definitely out to get people riled up by calling it "Russian heroes equipment". Its bait, and everyone fell for it.

More promotional material from Amazon/Bethesda, so far no sign of NCR even existing . If you're expecting something other than the most surface level understanding of the series, I just don't know what to say to you. Worst of all, Todd says this shit is canon.
The Show is canon until it isn't, if it flops and people hate it chances are it gets retconned into being a separate timeline.

As for the NCR, the show could be taking place before the NCR existed, or at a time when the NCR was just a small entity in the wasteland .

I'm not a Fallout expert, so can someone explain to me why the vault's overseer is a cyclops?

A better question is why in a show that presumably cost tens if not hundreds of millions of dollars there's a severed hand that looks like a prop from Spirit Halloween's discount bin.

Wait until the Battle of the Hoover Dam is shown to be between the Enclave and the Brotherood. And they just retcon New Vegas out of existence.

Considering that Vault Dwellers are supposed to be the more pure, less mutated humans alive (which is an important plot point on more than one game, mind you), that the trailer implies a Vault 13 / Vault 101 situation were leaving the Vault is a rare event, and that Vaultech's survival guides and materials tend to paint mutants as shoot-on-sight targets or at least as extremely undesirable (for example, an extra toe was enough to deny your request for citizenship for Vault City in F2), it makes very little sense unless:
A) There's an explanation and 33 is less closed to the outside world as other Vaults were, which again makes little sense considering what's told on the trailer or there was a leak on the Vault's reactor and that's why the MC has to leave the safety of the vault, which makes little sense too since they would still be extremely prejudiced about mutants.
B) Somebody just said "Haha funny mutant go BRRRRR" and that's it.

Considering who's in charge of writing, producing and directing this, I'd put all my caps on B, but who knows. I don't even know if that's the overseer or a random clerk, but that still sticks out like a sore, mutated thumb.

It takes place after Fallout 4. The NCR should be a superpower and the Boneyard, sorry they're just calling it Los Angeles here, should not look like a shithole.

This fallout show looks awful. Cheap just like the Halo series. The sets all look like hot dogshit, it's actually stunning - the early pictures for the sets they had a year or two ago looked promising, but it looks they lost funding or the budget was cut?

Not to mention it's supposed to take place directly after 4? On the west coast no less? I didn't have much hope for it before, but now I have no expectations whatsoever.
