Fallout series

  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
Maybe in a different time a girl protagonist could work if they went the "Naive/idealistic fish out of water scenario" or something, but in this day and age is pretty much a given that she will be the typical girl boss who is better at everything than the rest of the cast.
Something like Resident Evil, Tomb Raider, Silent Hill, Bloodrayne already had respective female main characters, but the people working at Pedowood don't know how the whole purpose of gaming, let alone breathing

Is there an effective method of dealing with robo scorpions at a low level? I find that using guns on them aren't that effective because the bullets just bounce off their armor. Even if I'm not doing an energy weapons/melee build I wind up picking up Elijah's LAER or the proton axe because they seem to be the only weapons that do any emp damage against them.

Proton axe is the best weapon I found against them. Try to find a Protonic Inversal Axe; it's quite a bit better. It's the unique variant, but in fact there are at least two of them.

As stated above the Proton Axe is the best weapon if you are struggling. Robo Scorpions are notoriously overpowered and imbalanced. They have ridiculous high DT and their armor is practically impenetrable by all but the most powerful ballistic weapons. Take Robotics Expert perk if you have 50 science to get a little extra damage as well when dealing with them.

There is a perk from Lonesome Road at level 40 that was supposed to give something like 50% more critical hits against robots but it was bugged to only deal just an extra 1% instead. So don't take that one.

How in the hell did I not know this? The perks overview page for the wiki doesn't state this, unless you go directly to the perk's page. Oh well, at least the part where you get more scrap from robots isn't bugged, which is the main purpose I always used the perk for, and it's useful for certain builds.
Funny how Obsidian replicated almost the exact same bug as Fallout 3 did: In Broken Steel DLC there is a perk called "Nerves of Steel". It's supposed to increase the regen rate of APs, however the bonus is so small and insignificant that I believe it's something to the tune of 1 extra Action Point per minute. Just like with Certified Tech, it's not TECHNICALLY useless, but the gain is so small that you would never take it(and CT at least lets you stock up on scrap metal and fission batteries, if that's your thing)

Can break those fusion batteries and scrap metals into weightless chips at a workbench, then trade them in at the bunker for anything you need.
Scrap Metal can also be used for crafting purposes, such as weapon repair kits, where as Fission Batteries are useful for crafting energy ammo. Plenty of little uses for those, especially with mods and/or TTW

Yup, yup. I even have a mod that makes it so you can craft without needing the benches or a cooking area.

I mean, if you're playing with the community patches it should be fixed. If you arent, why are you even bothering to play anything from this series

I'm playing Fallout 3 and I was wondering if there was a mod/fix for the mouth animation at an unlocked framerate? I don't want to lock the framerate at 60.

Making the MC a female is probably the biggest sign the whole thing is going to crash and burn.

The games drew inspiration from A Boy and his Dog. The whole setting was made to appeal to guys. Maybe some girls like it, but it's mostly guys.

Is Kathy Kennedy also giving pointers to Amazon?
The person in charge of the Amazon Prime Video is a woman who is desperate to be in the Hollywood cool kids club. She has wasted a ton of money on exclusivity deals with a bunch of Hollywood people, some of them got a contract for several years while delivering absolutely nothing (Phoebe Waller-Bridge, for example), she's the one who hired the ex-Bad Robot hacks for Rings of Power too.
Oh, and she's better known for cancelling the Conan series before it got made, because she thought the toxic masculinity was off the charts. The guy who was working on the adaptation is now in charge of the critically acclaimed House of the Dragon on HBO.

I hope her career ends before it even starts.

On a scale of 1 to 10 each, how Fallout are these weapons?

Bottom rifles are a solid 10: that looks unreal as fuck
pistols are a 6-7, too much like a normal handgun with just the right jankiness
1st is a 1: that looks like a perfectly normal rifle

where as Fission Batteries are useful for crafting energy ammo
Is that the one where you can recharge drained small energy cells (laser pistol ammo)? I remember I installed a mod that let's you straight up convert them into microfusion cells, but I don't remember any other recipes in vanilla using fission batteries.

Actually in the early game I used to just sell them when my courier was poor and needed funds.

The EM-2 fits Fallout so well that I'm surprised there hasn't been a game that's included it yet. It was designed in the 50s and absolutely has that wacky mid-20th century look that Fallout loves.
It is set to feature prominently in that Fallout: London mod that’s been posted about.
