Bethesda and Reddit and Mr.nolan himself said they were canon so they are. Unless you're willing to say to Nolan's face that he's a terrible writer and fucked up another beloved ip then we just have to suffer through this show fucking everything in sight

When has any IP successfully retcond a film or TV show out of canon? Especially in the last 50 years.

Star wars still can't remove the sequel trilogy no matter how hard they try. But at least Disney allowed a legends canon. Todd is all about fucking over the non Bethesda games so get ready for new Vegas to be taken behind the barn next

As long as Microsoft exists we won't be getting another good fallout game. New Vegas was a fluke and I hate crpgs.

Seriously though, just remove the mod shit and it’s accurate. Every single mod story is pretty fucking bad and embarrassingly written.
 
Couple small things lore-wise that bother me with Fallout London, but for the most part I am genuinely enjoying it.

Floaters: they exist and with no FEV excuse they just happen to have grown like that through radiation. I kinda would've preferred them be created via some other form of genetic engineering than just radiation.

Mittenlurks: Just renamed mirelurks. Woulda preferred some kind of difference more than that.

Some parts are definitely unfinished or wasted potential, sadly. Hopefully they do get finished at some point, but they could just not bother.

Other than that, as I said, I've been enjoying it so far (not gotten too far though).

Combat shottie is top-tier and gorgeous compared to the base-game one too

This is how it always is with these kind of usually-left-wing "fan" faggots. They're all about slobbering the devs' knobs up until the moment said devs say something that doesn't align with their headcanon. It happened to the Netflix anime adaptation of Delicious in Dungeon recently because the author said the nerdy elf girl isn't a lesbian and the main character isn't autistic.

The big-brained take is that devs are often willing to just make shit up as they go and also depending on who they are speaking to at a given moment.

Okay, I can understand interpreting media in certain ways. In fact, I'd argue that's good writing when people can take away different messages from your works even if those messages are accidental/incidental.

But to outright be like "Nuh uh! The creator is wrong and doesn't understand their own creation!" is the most retarded and pretentious shit I have ever read.
If the creator said that wasn't his intention when writing the story, then it wasn't their intention, retard. Simple as.

It's not entirely stupid. There are certain cases where a given creator either forgets what had happened or lies that they intended XYZ all along after the fact because their personal outlook changed.

The problem arises when the decision of the creator being wrong only hinges on whether it lines up with some random autist's opinion.

I confess I was actually thinking of the author of Vampire Hunter D when I wrote that; that fellow has admitted he gets details wrong because of how much he has written. But yeah, it's not just Toriyama.
