So, uh, Fallout TV Show is canon, and that show makes Fallout New Vegas NOT canon anymore...
and here we have Emil saying that Fallout New Vegas is still, indeed, canon.

Get back to me when that starts making sense. Reminder, this is the writer for Starfield talking here, aka the game where they added space cowboys with no paved roads because RDR2 is cool and a game that had literally zero design draft documents for it's entire production cycle.

Now, that by itself would be innocent, but with Emil chiming in out of nowhere? I'm thinking someone is pulling damage control already, they must know how bad and petty that makes them look even if they do indeed hate New Vegas and older titles.

So apparently, not only is Fallout Tactics canon now(it wasn't before) but now Fallout New Vegas AND the TV show are canon.
Since Shady Sands was nuked in 2277(same time Fallout 3 and first battle of Hoover Dam takes place), that means that quite literally the only way this makes sense is if somehow, the NCR back in Mojave don't know about their own capital being nuked...despite many NPCs mentioning coming and going from there, and directly communicating with the brass from there.
Something tells me that Emil didn't think this thru.

It's quite something when someone like Oxhorn complains about it, but Triangle City is apparently defending it and mocking Fallout fans for "complaining about the series being woke".
This community is going to be a fun place to watch in the coming weeks. Of course, as @xXx: State of the Union pointed out I am merely seething here when I keep up with the latest garbage fire drama, not because I find it entertaining to watch or because it often leads to many more smaller spergouts from other people.

Wrong, there are many existing and work-in-progress mods and fanprojects that keep the community alive. These are the REAL Fallout games, ones that are actually canon to the fans.

Short list off the top of my head:

Fallout 2 mods:

*Fallout Nevada
*Fallout Sonora
*Olympus 2077(not technically a Fallout game but it is the same in spirit)

Fallout New Vegas mods:

*Fallout Frontier(yes, even that game is more lore friendly than the TV show, and has at least that "so bad that it's funny" charm)

*Salt Lake City Stories

Fallout 4 Mods:
*Maxwell's World
*Fallout 3 Point Lookout 1-1 Recreation
*Project Mojave
*America Rising 2
*Sim Settlements 2
*Project Valkyrie

Honorable mention goes to Old World Blues mod for Hearts of Iron 4 that might be the best piece of interactive Fallout Fanfiction ever made.

*Possible mod in the future that ports map of Fallout 76 into Fallout 4, same way we got NV and F3 in one game thanks to Tale of Two Wastelands

It should be noted that there is also an active effort to make a Van Buren 1-1 recreation in Unreal Engine(95% of the data about the game we know thanks to leaked design documents, the rest the dev apparently knows since he talked to the people who worked on it before cancellation and a tech demo exists to show how the game would actually play along with much of the assets already compiled in the game's data). Either way, there is PLENTY for Fallout fans to enjoy, now and in the future, so being doom and gloom about the state of the franchise is pointless. The IP would live long after Bethesda would abandon it, so there is no point in focusing on the latest serving of slop too much, when it impacts zero of the projects listed above.
I should point out that there are, obviously, many more smaller mods for each game, but I am only counting the biggest ones I could thing of. Aside from the gameplay and open nature of the world itself, these games are infinitely replayable just out of mod support alone anyways.
The series is far from dead, and it will stay that way for a long time, independent of what Bethesda will or will not do with this IP. I guess any dreams of New Vegas 2 are more or less crushed unless Microsoft or Bethesda backpedal on this, but really, do you WANT a modern day New Vegas 2? I sure wouldn't, especially now that I see what Bethesda's future for Mojave and the West Coast looks like.

I've got to say, these two vaults sound like the dumbest fucking idea anyone ever had for a Vault, and we had one where the experiment was just "lol just bring a panther over and see how the residents react!"
The raider vault is just poor man's Vault 3 and the incest one I am sure they only put in so they could have a le funny social media moment when they showed the cyclops(very Fallout thing to have btw, we all know Fallout is a cartoon after all).

That would involves Bethesda letting a bad guy win for once and that’s super against their nature.
 
So, an update with bug fixes, quest extensions and free Creation Club content is coming to Fo4 on the 25th. Said content includes homemade weapons like nailguns, and some Enclave stuff (X-02, new quest, Heavy Flamer and Tesla Canon.).

I don't know how to feel about this. On one hand, seems okay. On the other, I have heard that the new updates Bethesda was working on could prevent most modern mods from working a la Skyrim.
