Fallout series

Never. Not enough time had passed in the emptied vaults where incest would be the only choice for procreation, and the ones still active in their respective games had a populace big enough to survive multiple generations without Alabama lovin'.
Ah, so I wasn't crazy. Sex pest writers as per usual.
Eh, TBF Fallout 2, BoS, NV & 4 all have varying degrees of sex jokes/acts/implications in them, so it's not completely out of lore to be a sex creep in this show.
I partially agree, but considering I didn't outright consider them too much means they were barely worth noting, out of the way, or added to something compared to...what I heard about underage cousin fucking for no real reason.

and tactics is utter garbage and was from day one
Nigga did you play that game or get filtered on the first level and bailed?

I'm all for lone-survivor Fallout, but if Obsidian/Interplay wanted to expand the universe to encompass multiplayer/co-op campaigns, then Tactics was the universe to do it in. Imagine a Fallout game that's more like Wasteland or Divinity with each race/class having abilities like a DnD RPG. Brotherhood are the paladins, Raiders are the berzerkers, Robots are the 'mages', Super Mutants are the orcs/tanks. That would have been infinitely better than Fallout 3, 4 or slopenty six.

Son, that sounds fantastic. Iffy on the DnD part, make it 2e or 3.5eish and you got yourself a deal.

Doesn't have to be DnD rule-set, just the idea of teams and classes. the % stuff works well in Tactics, keep that idea and go to town on the class-based perks/skills.
You could have Robots that have more HP than any other class but highly susceptible to Crit damage. The have Raiders with low health (no armour higher than leather/light) who deal less average damage but have a high crit chance.

Rock,paper,scissors that shit.

I can dig that, almost makes a man want to learn game development.

Remember that Fallout, and games as whole, no longer exist to satisfy the nerds who play them with dedication and interest. It's all about chasing the slop lovers and retards.

This is what some people wanted. Everyone who was going "Games should be taken seriously as an art form like movie and theater!! Muh cinematic storytelling in games! Welcome the normies in; nothing bad will happen." during the end of the 6th gen and beyond got what they deserved; soulless products, just like mainstream music and film.
And the worst part is they think this all qualifies as good.

Yep, "The Goul" from the show inspired Vault-Tec and Tim Cain all that time ago.
Aren't you just happy that gaming went mainstream? Isn't this so much better than the icky days of the SNES/Genesis & PSX/N64 when only nerds played games? FFVII/LoZ: OoT/Half-Life/DooM/DKC/etc just can't compare to cinematic storytelling and mainstream appeal!

Well yeah, it's not in-your face, but 2's pornstar perk and unmarked quest is pretty well known as is seducing the Ben Man in NV despite the massive whiplash the option causes.

Is Fallout 76 worth the 7$ sale price ?
If you have the right friends, yes. The story isn’t worth it single player though. I only got as far as I did because my friends game me a Gatling gun and a MG42 early on.

The worst part about that game is the area is not only really interesting but now ruined because that game is cannon. Also all the cool weapons and base building items are locked in that game.

I would not play that game if you paid me 70$. Like someone said, just buy the originals instead. All three games(if you include Tactics) have their own editor, like GECK/Creation Kit, and Fallout 2 has a lot of good mods as well like Restoration Project or Nevada. Definitely more worthy of your money.

I think the big issue with the humor is it's 'safe edgy. ' The people who never played the games don't know what fallout humor actually was and think they made a joke about incest so it's so edgy and cool. Fallout humor was really fucking dark in places and it had to be because of the world it was set.
I did notice that the humor there is even worse than in Todd games. With Fallout 3 and to an extent, Fallout 4 you could tell that the devs somewhat understood the dark setting and the humor within it(even if they didn't respect it in the slightest by 4). The TV show is literally just clown world marvel slop with a vault meat OC that cannot stop making everything sexual, peak normie cattle flavor of the month.

I'm not watching 4 Peso Pedro, but did he actually like the TV show? He just got done fuming at DC Comics universe being ruined in Suicide Squad and now he's praising Fallout TV Show when the same thing happens to it? What a fucking retard.

That said the ghoul Cooper Howard is the best thing about it. Imagine all the effort the girl bosses and POCs put into writing the heroine's story, her black love interest, the white man Vault-Tec villain to then have the show stolen by a character with rotting flesh, lacks a nose, dresses in rags, snacks on human flesh, is a literal ghoul yet everyone finds his story arc the most compelling of any character.

It's actually kind of uncanny how close the writing is to Fallout the Frontier.

Modern bigwig writers are the same kind of reddit soyfaggot. For fuck's sake, the protagonist is a white woman and her lover is black man.
That's not me being racist: that is damn nearly every piece of media that has a white female protagonist when they run out of dykes, which coincidentally turns out to be shit

So DUST is now canonical? I’m not watching this gay show but Vegas being a ruin and NCR collapsing is the premise of DUST.

Good to see Bethesda will steal the best ideas from mods even when they aren’t making a game. The Toddler strikes again.
Yes, except it's much gayer. DUST takes every possible bad end for the Mojave and makes it happen all at the same time, the TV show is DUST if it was written by a Fallout 4 fan who never played Fallout New Vegas.

Fuckin' consoooomers. While I don't hate normies, consoomers are the absolutely worst.

I know of suducing Benny, I don't recall 2's pornstar perk, looking it up it's an unmarked quest (like you said) at Golden Globes. Strange, I don't remember it. I recall more people talking about the Black Widow perk for seducing Benny but not more than a handful.

I definitely agree, they don't have balls anymore, remember when they actually considered this icon for the Childkiller perk?
Child_iller.png

Remember when they even let you kill children? This is the type of edge Fallout had before it was toned down, along with everything else being streamlined for the "modern audience." People calling Fallout 4 (even 76) the best Fallout are zoomers who never played or heard of the originals. If they did, they probably avoid like the plague because "muh graphics, muh gameplay." RPGs, real RPGs, are for people with imaginations, something many people lack. The show just makes this problem worse by introducing more normies to Fallout and only having consumed the TV show, which will ultimately create even more flame wars. I can't wait until I see people pretend to be experts of the Fallout series, telling long time fans what Fallout is, only having watched the show and skimmed the lore. This happens every new game in every franchise at this point.

Strongest Hollywood writing, also the fuck is this face? Am I the only one who thinks that looks uncanny?

I found some of the writing in DUST to be a bit iffy, but overall I liked it. But I swear to God these fucks pulled a DUST in the TV show regarding New Vegas because of how much they fucking hate New Vegas. Also, for it to be written by a Fallout fan they'd have to actually play the game, no one making decisions ever touched these games because they probably have the same mindset as the people condemning "gamers" for being racist, sexist, bigoted, buzzwordbuzzwordbuzzword and won't "dare to fall under that same category."

Oh, I'm looking forward to it. On a good day, I can already derail entire discussions and turn /fog/, /v/ or /vrpg/ into my personal toilets. I can already picture how much more salt I can mine from the newcomers whose only point of entry into the franchise is the show or toddout slop.

The word you're looking for is "dysgenic". Let's not even pretend that these creatures would be anything but circus freakshow attractions in a more civilized society.
Reposting from the Multimedia thread: Here is your perfect vault genes, bro
fallout tv show perfect vault gene pool.png
The closest vault in game that had a purity problem would be Vault 101, whose entire experiment was "what would happen if we had extreme isolation and an overbearing overseer?". His whole reasoning as to why the vault doors need to be closed and why he chimped out at the end of the game's tutorial was to keep the Vault pure, but you can convince him to open up simply because his genetic stock isn't good enough to hold out for much longer. Fallout 3 takes place in 2077, which is only about 20 years before the TV show. Vault 101 doesn't look anything like this and it's the closest other vault that has been closed to outsiders for 200 years.
When I see the picture above, it breaks all immersion and all I can think of is "yep, that's muttmerica for you". Every single clown world trope is found in this TV Show, to the point it's less about Fallout and more about shoving every single one of them in at some point.
