Fallout series

Oh, I'm looking forward to it. On a good day, I can already derail entire discussions and turn /fog/, /v/ or /vrpg/ into my personal toilets. I can already picture how much more salt I can mine from the newcomers whose only point of entry into the franchise is the show or toddout slop.
Any Newfag that can't take the heat to begin with is unwanted.
Here is your perfect vault genes, bro
:story:
Oh God, someone pointed out how the reason the war started "Vault Tec is evil and is run by evil greedy white man who ended the world for more money" is way too close to the Resident Evil TV show. They physically cannot write anything different, which is even more ironic given who they're working for. Apparently one of the other people from Vault Tec who nuked the world wanted to save their daughter...by nuking the world...where he was within obliteration range of the nuke. Well done genius. For the maniacs who watched it, is the plot literally just Fallout 3 again? Child of man looks for said man and finds him, only to leave again? They also ret-conned House's character, he's now in on the Vault experiments and helped nuke the world. Watch how they make the China the good guys since they ret-conned the ambiguity (though I think it was China) of who launched the nukes, trying to find information before the TV show is hard now since wikis updated to include the TV canon and deleted everything otherwise. Funny how they made Capitalism bad, Communism good (or at least not so bad) yet again, from what I heard they even made a line in the show that basically boiled down to "Communism was just a word people would call others who weren't insane."
:really:

I can't wait until I see people pretend to be experts of the Fallout series, telling long time fans what Fallout is, only having watched the show and skimmed the lore. This happens every new game in every franchise at this point.
Tens of thousands of Media Literacy PhD's with a minor in Fallout Lore have just been born who will make 5 hour video essays about how Caesar's Legion is DOOMED despite the fact that NCReddit can't keep ants off a road and the fact that a Legion jobber recruit is as good in hand-to-hand combat as a fucking RANGER according to lore.

Never mind the lore (didn't know about that last part, lmao) for a moment, speak to the average NCR Trooper and you'll see how fucking hopeless, borderline suicidally depressed, and disillusioned they are.
"If the legion breaks through our defenses, I've got one bullet I'm saving just for me."
""It's been a long tour, all I can think about now is going home."
"We put our trust in Hanlon and look where it got us. Makes you wonder if we can trust anyone at all."
And more I don't care to find.

Yeah I don't really envy the boots on the ground when it comes to NCReddit. They're led by the "best" political and military leadership that (((Brahmin Barons))) can buy, their supply lines are fucked that they can only spare a burlap sack as armor and a rifle with 3 bullets and expect them to excel fighting against a bunch of fucking maniacs who have trained their for war for their entire lives. The only competent leadership they have either outright sabotage the campaign due to how hopeless it is (Hanlon) or is hated by colonel Cassandra "Didn't Earn It" Moore and general Lee "Wait and See" Oliver (Hsu).

Did they really? Both of them?
LMAO, might be time to look for archives of some pages. Yet another reason why you shouldn't pay attention to modern day Fallout.

Obligatory NCR video

Are there any physical books on Fallout lore printed before this show? Or are we going to have to rely on Wayback....

Managed to archive some pages on the wiki before the TV Show slop was added in or those that miraculously haven't been edited yet.
If you see a big piece of shit blocking the top of a page, that's one of the intrusive ads that are nearly impossible to block. Nothing you can do about it.
Really, the wikis have been getting fucked by trannies and discorders for years now, this isn't anything new. Your only sure bet at this point is to either play the games yourself and memorize all of this or depend on the ancient Fallout Wiki archives that were dumped before Fandom acquisition, altho they will obviously be outdated. https://fallout-archive.fandom.com/wiki/The_Vault_Fallout_Wiki
You might want to stop paying attention to those wikis full stop if the canon gets too pozzed, much like Wikipedos who shouldn't be cited in any serious paper or story.

Oh dear, he's the new Pete Hines that will talk about how Jet is pre war and how you should accept it because this is just a dumb game with talking mutants?
Thank goodness I'm tuning out. Anything made post Fallout 4 and it's DLCs doesn't exist to me.
Did someone ask him where all the Varuun members are? That should piss him off, considering he got a tattoo for a faction that was almost entirely cut out of Starfield due to how bad it was.
Also, that can't be Nate, he was issued a AER9(Fallout 3) Laser Rifle and a T60 Power Armor suit. The guy in the intro is wearing a T51b and using a Winchester P94. Weapon I can maybe buy, but I doubt they would change his armor. Stupid fuck can't do his research, just like he tried to cope how New Vegas was still canon when the nukes wiped out Shady Sands 4 years before it begun.

“Decorated war hero”

I just imagine that laugh as the idiot savant perk sound. This nigger’s talking “war never changing” and he’s still got leaf-blood under his fingernails.

“DIE YOU COMMIE!”

Emil really is just Todd’s pet rodent? I bet it’s a blackmail thing where Emil saw something he wasn’t supposed to and now he’s untouchable (unlike the man/woman/animal he caught the reTodd with)

Emil "What I say isn't necessarily canon" Pagliarulo

This is why I say not to get upset or take canon too seriously. None of them do. And it's actually cute that Emil is now taking the Kirkbride school of "whatever you want is canon"

Fallout TV show sucks? It's just some weird fucking simulation someone got stuck in. NCR and New Vegas are doing just fine. It's not like Bethesda was ever going to bring NCR or New Vegas up seriously in a game ever again.

Giving Nate any sort of genuine character whatsoever (including Commie Canuck destroyer supreme) would have been one of the preferable options compared to the middle road option that was taken of giving him his own backstory but never using it for anything interesting at all

don't you fucking forget it
legion supremacy was canon before the tv show
