Fallout series

I found the first video of Schizo Elijah I watched
You wanna know the best part about the Amazon show? If they wanted a dead Mojave and Shady Sands, there was a 100% canon way to do this that wouldn't piss off most of the fans. Two actually, one would be siding with Elijah and having him cover everything in the cloud, just like in DUST, two would be to make the Nuke ending in Lonesome Road canon. Of course, Bethesda wouldn't do either of these things, hell they shit themselves when they heard of the former and chewed Obsidian out. "Bad guys don't win!", they said. "Don't ever do that shit again!", they said, and hence why the Big MT bad ending was eventually cut despite being all written out. Boy, that aged well.
But no, they had to destroy the West Coast THEIR way, as a humiliation ritual. That might have meant something if I gave two fucks about todd lore past Fallout 4, and that's only because the modders fixed the biggest retcons it had.

Why's he representing Big MT?

He was just a customer right? This is like calling Chris-Chan a representative of McDonalds or something.
People who made the show didn't do any research and even if they did, they didn't care. This is member berries, nothing more. What's that, they got it wrong and now millions of people will think Sinclair(who is now fat) is the head of Big MT? Well fuck you, nobody cares about this nerd shit. Todd is going to retcon it and there is nothing you can do about it. If you complain too much, Emil will go on twitter again and say that Nora worked directly as a lawyer for Vault Tec or Robco or something, to try and distract you from how bad the show has been received.

I think that's the crux of things. I don't think people would have minded Shady Sands being destroyed if they'd actually put the effort in and shown that despite the fact the NCR was one of the more advanced and developed post-apoc states, with the benefits that entails, it had also begun developing pre-war downsides like corruption too.

But Todd wants all of Fallout to be you fighting bandits over the last box of Dandy Boy apples in an abandoned train tunnel like it's 2099, tripping over piles of skeletons as you go.

As for Sinclair being a fat old man and being part of the illuminati (and not a friendly optimist), it's stupid and doesn't match what we know but at least it's something else that would make Dean Domino seethe.

Thankfully, there is also Project Mojave even if F4: New Vegas never comes out.
Project Mojave died the moment Bethesda hired their lead devs (to intentionally kill the project).
Mojave was basically a "fuck you" to the trannies in F4:NV anyway (meant to showcase just how easy for anyone with talent to remake NV if you set your mind to it. IIRC PM was made in like two weeks and modders like Cadaver ported the entire NV map and interiors [sans LODs and soundscape like footsteps]).
I still find it hilarious that both TheFriedTurkey and HcGxGrill were hired by Bethesda
Again, they were only hired because Bethesda wanted to kill the project by poaching their lead devs.
Bethesda is no Valve; there is no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow that launches you from amateur modder to pro developer by a job at Bethesda.

If you're hope for Fallout is mods you might as well be a fan of Starfield. Trannies have seemingly infested ALL mod communities.
The trannies were always there, they were just edgelords prior to trooning out being accepted by liberal society.
Who else is going to make such time-consuming work for free? Not people with a 9-5 and families.

no wonder Dean hated that Ugly Bastard lol.

Oxhorn also made a video.

He was even invited to some event a few weeks ago that took place in a mock up version of the town of "Filly", the town from the Fallout show.

I am making it my personal canon that Todd specifically commissioned this TV Show after watching this video
Todd got angry he got BTFO by Schizo Elijah and so began the most petty and expensive way to cope and seethe about it. "I will show you your precious West Coast", he must have thought over all these years as he had the image of thousands of broken New Vegas disks inside his mind.

Is that right? Well, that sucks, but there is the crux of the issue: If this is so simple, then you don't need the lead devs for this. Anyone can step up and continue Project Mojave, if Fallout 4 NV is going to be in perpetual tranny development hell. Even then we have Capital Wasteland Project that we KNOW is being worked on, and Fallout 3 arguably needs a remake more than New Vegas anyways.

It's still surreal to me that this fat fuck of all influencers and shills was the one to actually step up and say he didn't like it. This is a really surreal moment, just like The Gunt having a momentary sanity break where he stopped drinking, taking xannies and even invited Josh to do a couple of podcasts. It's not unwelcome but you never would have thought he would be the one to actually grow some balls. What does that make the likes of Ramblelime or TK Mantis?

everyone talked shit about the show and i got that itch every man gets every 3-5 years. i started playing/modding the bejeezus out of new vegas. the shit these modders came up with in the past couple years is pretty crazy. the B42 mods, updated malenia weapons/animations, and the spergtacular ballistic simulator's been blowing my mind so far. the standard used to just be project nevada but that's also ten years in the dust. i swear there's going to be a point in ten years where you just drink brown computer water and you're in new vegas
Its insane how nearly every part of Project Nevada is so outdated that people went and remade each individual aspect of it as standalone mods so you can get which parts you like such as the cyberware or whatever and not need to include the dozens of bloat options it has and ancient scripts that mess with so many things you can never know what it might have issues with nowadays.

Tried watching this on 2 times speed and it was still too long winded holy fuck.
But, he isn't wrong. The Fallout show doesn't explicitly retcon any part of New Vegas excluding the endings, Its just that the show did such a shit job at explaining its own timeline that people thought it did. In the same vein New Vegas itself wasn't nuked in show, it just seems abandoned. The show however used this for a cheap "Remember New Vegas??!" scene at the end with no context.

The Fallout show did not earn the NCR Nuke plot, it was only done to make Lucy's dad the big bad by having him kill off probably the most beloved faction in the Universe, all so you'd hate him and have a shocking final episode twist. I don't know how anyone thought that was a good idea and seeing people defend it and jizz in their pants over the NCR flag scene in vault 4 is fucking insane. I give it 2 months before people start saying the show was shit and that becomes the general consensus on the internet, and then all these Fallout grifters starting coming out and saying "Ok maybe it wasn't THAT good."

I was just thinking about that. I think anti-chink racism would be perfect for this meme, as it's 100% lore accurate and shit talking China is a big no-no, as bad as the dreaded nigger word among some people.

A piece of shit like this does not deserve the benefit of the doubt, and even if we get past the nukings there is all sorts of other retcons that don't make sense there as well. No, at this point, the fans are going to make their own retcons, namely how Toddslop and the TV show belong in it's own separate universe and there is diddly squat anyone can do about it. New Vegas is not canon in toddslop timeline and TV Show isn't canon in the Proper West Coast timeline, everybody is happy.

it dose though. year 2277, the year the first battle of hoover Dam happens is the same year Shady Sands gets nuked in the show. meaning NCR never gets to occupy The the mojave desert/Vegas and second battle of hoover dam never happening.

The Chalk Board in the show is unclear but can be read as showing the Nuke happened after 2277, and later in the show the Nuke is said to have happened 11 years ago from the present of the show. The Show takes place in 2296, meaning 11 years ago was 2285. Shady Sands was nuked in 2285 which is 4 years after FNV took place. (This is ignoring anything emil said on twitter, this is info you can learn purely through the show with no outside information.)

Great, forced to dip my toes into this thread because of a friend of mine is telling me good shit about the Fallout show, he has only played Fallout 4/76 and says he has plans to buy the older titles. Do I kick this friend out or do I help him out?

Of course, worst thing that can happen is that he gets filtered in the Temple of fucking Ants.

Well, yeah, gotta make those YouTube bux.

The thing is, canon doesn't always mean quality. If they wanted to rewrite the whole continuity, that's perfect, give the writers more freedom. Problem is that what they pretty much exchanged gold bars for plastic straws.

Gotcha. It makes more sense now. Thanks for clearing that up.
