But I've seen plenty of decent folks who are fans but aren't glazing New Vegas as the king of all that is RPG and Fallout
Me. This is literally me.
Bad people? Who, us?
Not you specifically but there are some on this website that I’d introduce a .357 caliber asprin to.
but i think he has too much pride in his work
He’s the tard that ruined every sequel to a good game Obsidian got their hands on so it doesn’t surprise me.

When did I say I ever hate him?
Not you specifically Ding Dong.
I lump most Obsidiots together as one gelatinous blob of stupidity and oxygen wasting so forgive me.
They just let anyone use this site now huh?
I mean you’re here so.
I'm not sure why anyone keeps seething at him when that's what he wants.
I just want a place where I don’t get shut down for not being a drone by weaklings. This is the only website I can do that. So I deal with the autistic retards because it’s worse elsewhere and honestly I’m mostly active on the Wrestling thread cuz it’s a place to discuss what happens week to week without the aforementioned weaklings.

Except it’s warranted with Star Wars IMO. Fallout doesn’t have 47 years
Star Wars went gay with Return of the Jedi, then it went super gay with Phantom Menace.

Much like Fallout people, just ignore disney shit and keep re-reading the precious EU. Disney ain't changing shit the same way Lucas didn't change shit when the Gen Xers shit themselves over the prequels.

I could kind of understand "keeping up the fight" until the next movie came out, but after like two years and a bunch of shitty comics/cartoons/spin offs come out on top of a shit film you just need to accept the reality for what it is.

You’re bugging, RotJ is dimes. And I liked what the Prequels tried to do. Attack of The Clones really puts the WARS in Star Wars.

The EU has greatness in it unlike Fallout 1 and 2 which at their best reach “hey that was alright”
Except Frank Horrigan. He’s the one actually great thing about Fallout 2 otherwise it’s crapola.

had Interplay survived it would have still been butchered and gay
Hell, half the Van Buren design doc makes me fucking cringe. Enclave space stations?
It's not even an RPG in the traditional sense
In what ways is it not? It has everything that would generally be considered RPG material.
World building is Bethesda’s bread and butter.
WAS their bread and butter. They fell off hard with Fallout 4 and have still never recovered. Starfield has some of the worst world building I've ever seen in an RPG period.
I agree with many of your points about fallout but you're such a massive faggot
>Fallout 3/4/76 isn't that bad
>Fallout New Vegas is actually shit

Wow Cyrus adding so much to the thread.

Fallout 3 isn’t as terrible as people make it out to be. A lot of the shit is retarded due to changing the timeline of events from immediately after the bombs fell to like 30 years after Fallout 2.

You could fix a lot of it with throw away lines like Little Lamplight kids being stashed in the caves again due to Supermutant and Raiders and all the adults getting killed. Big town is their old home or something.

The Water Purifier is ultimately fine if you just said that the Chesapeake is heavily irradiated due to dud missiles, long-lived daughter products, Industrial run off, Chinese saboteurs, and other shit.

There’s some notes here and there that say that shit basically kept falling apart because random warlords in less nuked places kept showing up to raid the area and killed off fuck tons of people. The Supermutants emerging from their Vault and steadily increasing their territory is recent to the area by like 30 years.

The FEV issue is a non-issue. The Vault being full of it can be hand waved as a back-up location in case the war actually kicked off or literally just an auxiliary New Plague research location.

Fallout 3 breaking the lore is honestly not as bad. It’s not being insulting it does it to be a mostly seperate sequel. It’s inferior to New Vegas, but it tries to be an RPG and I kinda prefer the Skill checks being percentaged based.

Fallout 4 looks like shit compared to 3 though. 3 had better Art direction despite it looking shittier. 4 has better shooting mechanics, but the design of everything is shit. It feels more sterile than 3.

Fallout 3 was going to end with the player on a space station and communicating with aliens. And Fallout 4 would be colonizing space and humanity abandoning Earth and joining some galactic confederation like Mass Effect or Star Wars. These concepts proved to be beyond retarded though. And New Vegas brought things back down to a more grounded world and story.

Bethesda's Fallout 3 flirted with the aliens though with Mothership Zeta. Also known as one of the worst game expansions of all time.

Just keeping with tradition for this thread.
Ok keyboard warrior
Oh the irony.
I entrust he will save us from our retardation of loving NV
Well at least you admit it.

Any argument against Fallout 4 is invalid due to Linda Carter being in the game. 10/10 game.

I find the Fallout 4 aesthetic abhorrent. What a fucking downgrade from 3. Somebody was clearly like "So it's retrofuture. That means everything is big and goofy like in the 40s!" And just went full retard from there.

In 3 weapons and the art deco design had a distinct bulkiness but it was kind of hostile and sharp. Compare the 10mm in both games. In 3 the 10mm is a big, boxy, square gun you could still believe is a sidearm people would use. In 4 the pistol is this gigantic cylindrical tube monstrosity that looks like absolute refried ass.

They made everything, even military technology, what publications like Popular Mechanics were pushing as the future of civilian/consumer life. It makes 0 sense to apply this to everything, but just like with civilization somehow not coming back at all and no one knowing how to clean up for 200 years in Bethesda fallout, they just went stupid and over did it.

My issue was that it seemed like retro-70’s future rather than retro-50’s future. The plastic and pastel colors they used were bad. It’s like they over corrected from the Green-Gray of Fallout 3. I did like that structures that survived 200+ years were stone. I liked when people did patchwork fixes like they do in Modern Africa.

The color in the games should be from lived in places. It shouldn’t be from plastic that should be sun bleached from 200+ years.

Keyword is this, theres a ways to tastefuly do it, fallout 4 went unrealistically overboard. Another issue I have with the game is lack of static objects, every building in that game (including the ones that are just rubble) are build bit by bit like in the crafting menu and it slows the game down and makes it too chunky. everything is fat and obnoxiously designed.
