Oh yeah, one more thing I found that some here might get a kick out of.
Someone made a King Cobra companion mod. No, I'm not kidding. Feel free to hit me with the clocks if it's already been posted.
Sadly he doesn't have sound effects yet but that's apparently planned for a future update. I'm sure that will be hilarious.

Come to think of it, what Lolcow do you think would be an entertaining companion in a Fallout game?
Personally, I'd go with Phil. I think hearing him complain about how he did everything correct as he's getting bitch slapped by a Super Mutant would be hilarious. "MY GUN JAMMED! I'M PULLING THE TRIGGER! ACKACKACKACKACK, NOTHING I COULD DO DOOD!"
>KingCobraJFS
Very recent too, I wonder if it was anyone here who made it. The fucker also added a bunch of cuck chairs around Goodsprings, I'll be following him from now on.

Plus he's already ghoul so it fits. Gunt would also be great as a miniature super mutant companion.
>Phil was in the middle of one of his streams when the bombs dropped
>He survived nuclear annihilation by becoming a ghoul because of fucking course he would it's Phil

Yeah, sounds about right.

I can only imagine Ralph as being similar to the original concept for Joshua in Van Buren, that being the Hanged Man. A party member who constantly gets you into trouble all the fucking time because he's always trying to pick fights with people.

That'd be perfect. I remember in New Vegas different people had different reactions to your companions. Imagine if having Ralph in your party makes it a risk to even talk to randos without initiating combat. "Never saw such a small super mutant before. What is he 5'1''?" "WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU JUST SAY ABOUT ME BISH? WHO'S FIVE ONE BISH??? BISH I DON'T SCARE! I DON'T SCARE!"

Also you'd have to feed his alcohol and xanny addiction. What would even be the Fallout equivalent of xannies?

You have to make sure he always has alcohol and drugs in his inventory to keep him docile so he doesn't try to fight everyone you talk to. :story:

As for the specific drug someone more knowledgeable than me would have to say that one. I'm sure there's some drug in the series that's similar enough to xanny berries.

Anyone else here play with the "Viva New Vegas" modpack? I downloaded it all from wabbajack, its been excellent. It feels like Vanilla NV with no more mission breaking glitches plus it has patched some cut/unfinished content.

oh no, people talk about it. you just need to be in the right circles. outside this site and maybe 4chan, reception seems positive or moderately mixed
I've seen loads of clickbait "this mod wipes the floor with bethesda" videos pop up over the last couple of weeks, though none from respected rpg channels.

I'm currently playing Sonora. My character is named Ethan Ralph, because I expected "Mexican Fallout" (so far it takes place in Arizona and nothing so far made me go south from Phoenix). Of course he's Jinxed.

"this mod wipes the floor with bethesda"
Not like it's very difficult to wipe the floor with Bethesda.

The more I think about it, I think NV was truly a goodbye from the OG team through the game's themes - especially through the DLC's. These themes being "Let go". The last speech from Ulysses about that "War, war never changes. But men do, through the roads they walk." seems like the perfect conclusion to the statement made in FO1.
Still mad that we got this drivel instead of Arizona.

My boy Grant McClellan. Tries to talk tough to muh SUBHUMAN CUNT Legionaries in a squeaky high-pitched voice and gets decked in the face. By either you or the enemy, doesn't matter. Also rants on and on about how a trans genocide will happen under Caesar. All NPC dogs are afraid of him for good reasons.

vault 13 demo dropped, is 5 gb.

Wabbajack? I thought they removed it from Wabbajack because they were too lazy to configure everything for the player and would rather have the player do the work than maintain the Wabbajack list. Or some other autistic reason, I know I sound like a hyper-pessimist when it comes to modders but you would be too if you've seen what I've seen. But yeah it's a great mod list.
I'll be completely honest with you the only site I take seriously is this one. Thanks null.
No other site like it. The camps talking about this mod are the usual suspects, the cum guzzlers who'll never say anything negative about a mod in fear of...nothing really, they just fear some consequence that probably won't happen...probably, people were banned for less. The other camp shit it to hell and back for various reasons (performance, concerns from Frontier, the fish people, the voice acting, and more).

Clickbait, nothing more. I'd say ignore them but you'd pretty much have to ignore 99% of Fallout YouTubers because you'll never find a truthful video (shoutout to my boy Omega Initiative for not being a massive Bethesda/modder cockrider). Amazing how many grifters there are in the Fallout community. They were probably always there but fuck me you'd think they'd come from the Warp as suddenly as they grew their audience like a cancer.
>Fallout: Vault 13 is a total conversion mod for Fallout 4 that remakes and reimagines Fallout 1 in Fallout 4's engine.
>Remake
>Reimagine
God help us. Don't fuck it up you God damn modnigger. Not that I'll play it, I rather the past stay in the past rather than bring it to some modern slop and ultimately be brought down.

Keep your expectations low, because the reality is usually subterranean.
I haven't had high or any expectations for mod niggers or most of anyone in about a decade. You can disappoint someone who's already perpetually disappointed.
