Fallout series

I disagree with your point that he lost his shit or was seething, he sounded mildly angry to me. I agree with his point tbh, it is kinda insulting to insinuate African Americans had any sort of affinity to the confederates and those that fought for them weren't forced/coerced into doing so.
Noah, please
I like the settlement mods, which is honestly my favorite part of the game. I'd like to know if there is a mod to get rid of Preston though.
In Nuka World DLC, you basically do the same settlement building main questline but without Preston and with more options and unique buildings. Only bad part is that without modding, managing Raider settlements and raiding/coercing farm settlements is very limited, you also cannot raid important settlements like The Castle without mods. You also cannot complete the main quest with the Raiders, you will have to join one of the four factions(Railroad and Institute making the most sense since the other two hate your guts and Preston will straight up throw a hissy fit and be hostile to all your Raiders).
If that doesn't sound like it's up your alley, there is Sim Settlements 2 that is basically just Minutemen settlement stuff turned into it's own main questline, with another game's worth of new content and a complete overhaul of the whole settlement mechanic. There is too much new content to list, for example Gunners get fleshed out as well and the mod adds several new entire minor factions and dozens of new characters as well. I would choose Nuka World for evil characters and Sim Settlements 2 for neutral/good aligned builds.

After about a year of mostly silence we finally now have a trailer.
Damn that looks pretty nice, hope the project doesn't implode again.
Can't wait for this to take 20 years to come out and be 'okay' at best.
Yeah that's the curse, it's either too big and they have to dial it back resulting in something lackluster but serviceable for a single playthrough with some good moments here and there, never going to come out, or when it does it's dogshit because it's infested with troons, degenerates, and retarded who can't keep everything together so it's just a free-for-all.

Usually mods that are apart of a bigger overhaul. For example that Mandalore armor/faction mod (Galac-Tac?) had the option to ignore them and they'd die, I think. There's a few "main story" overhauls that also let you kill him, but most mods don't let you kill him because:
A) He's easily ignorable even if you go to Concord
B) A lot of shit breaks if you kill him and some of the Minutemen like Sturges (the Courser chip quest is tied to him and will softlock the story if you kill him before then), seriously it's like they knowingly attached a bunch of shit to them so that if you do manage to kill their precious negro and "for the people" faction you wouldn't get away with it. Far cry from just being able to kill anyone like in New Vegas and Morrowind eh? Almost like those games were made by better developers who understood that people want to be able to fuck shit up regardless of the consequences but also still want to continue their game in some way (mostly for NV).
They shouldn't have had to fight to earn their freedom, it's still a form of coercion and I disagree that he was hand wringing over the memorial just pointing out how offensive the plaque and it's connotations are.
I come back here after three days and it's a faggot slap fight in here. Well, there's just one faggot.
I don't really intend to carry on this conversation since you seem incapable of understanding anything more morally complicated than a comic book or a starwars movie.
To be fair, there are some actually morally complicated comic books out there, pretty sure some of Conan's, Kull's and since I'm talking about Robert E. Howard (rest his soul), Soloman Kane's comics were really up there at times...been ages since I read them since I'm more of a Lovefag so correct me if I'm wrong. You certainly aren't wrong though, some people aren't worth your time and even replying to that guy beyond calling him a walking example of why people should fucking read history books rather than be told it by revisionists is...commendable.

"B-but Deathclaws are still pretty scary! Outside of Power Armor at least which you should ALWAYS HAVE because it's AWESOME! You just hate new things you CHUD." There's also a sad lack of good Fallout horror mods so even modders who usually preserve the old good stuff and bring it to new games seem to not really do this.

I've heard Dust is a good mod

Having played it extensively, I concur. I've mentioned it and Frost a few times and they're both really good. They're both technically finished so there's no more official updates, doesn't stop people from making addons and such though.

It really is.

Seconded this, both also make fairly interesting use of established lore for their stories even if some parts feel like a stretch like what happens to some people in Zion. I won't spoil in case people in this thread play them so they can have a blind experience. Both also will fucking brutally kick your ass even with a good build at the start of the game lmfao.

I know this is not exactly fallout-related, but I always enjoy Emil's seething when someone tells how shit his game is.

Mention that Outer Worlds is a better space rpg to one of the Bethesda drones and you get a similar meltdown
Tim Cain won btw
I actually was considering bringing that up here yesterday but was busy with some life stuff. It's kinda funny honestly, The Outer Worlds is pretty underwhelming with a mix of bad characters and some diamonds in the rough like Vicar Max but the DLCs where genuinely fantastic in my opinion while Starbound was hot trash and its DLC was even worse.

Yup, say what you want about the base game but Murder on Eridanos and especially Peril on Gorgon are genuine great DLCs. Shame we only got two of them, no modding tools either.
This makes me think that Obsidian can turn OW2 around and makea fantastic sequel, now that they figured out what works and what doesn't in this universe. I definitely want to see corporate nightmares played straight, no humor or jokes just lay it on me and show he how fucking horrid Halcyon really is. At it's best, Gorgon facility and what went on there reminded me of what I imagine Big MT would be like before scientists put their brains in jars and everything became lolsorandom whacky in there.
Murder on Eridanos went back to the more humorous side of things, but it was still better than what we saw in the base game(even tho the "plot twist" was the most predictable thing ever)
This might have just been a fluke, as the DLC was forced to be much more focused than the base game, but I think it worked. Eridanos also had a bit of horror in there, and it was handled quite well even with the humor, which leads me to believe they might have finally figured out a way to balance the two. Outer Worlds still gets shit to this day for how it was handled in the base game, ie without any restraint and in the worst way possible. Doesn't help that the political satire stuff they went for landed about as well as Starfield's "We're the last space explorers!" theme of the main questline.

Speaking of Outer Worlds, I am disappointed we haven't seen a mod that adds weapons or armor from that game. The Corporate Power Armor especially fits right into Fallout, just give us a base version or one that replaces OW corporations with Fallout ones. Hell, it wouldn't be anything new for the game either since we know Nuka Cola and Vim! like to paint their suits of power armor.

My favorite part of the Outer Worlds was being a third wheel to a Jeet lesbian.
Worst quest of the game you can easily skip for no major XP loss. If you want to criticize the game, I suggest actually playing it instead of parroting some youtuber or /v/ posts.
I should also point out that her writer was actually switched partway around development. After the first planet, where she is best written and most consistent, she was taken over by someone else and it shows. It looks like the development of this game was a mess, ironic considering that Obsidian specifically went with a smaller scale project to avoid this problem.
