Fallout series

What is it with AAA companies and squandering billion dollar IP's? Holy fuck Bethesda is out of touch and their heads are so far up their own asses it defies the laws of physics.

Fallout 76 will never be as big as a singleplayer Fallout game and you can only milk the whales for so long. All those new locations and the new content are being squandered on such a small, niche spinoff. And of course they learned nothing from the last big Fallout 4 "update". RIP everyone's modlist I guess.

But hey, if you wanna cope, cope in style with the New Vegas anniversary edition! That'll be $150 straight to Todd's bank account, please. Just let Bethesda crash and burn already so some other company can buy their IP's in a firesale.

$155 for an anniversary edition that isn’t a remaster is the most greedy and disrespectful shit I have seen. We don’t need more shit for Fallout 4. You’d think after printing money with the Oblivion remaster they would smarten the fuck up about how to handle Fallout as an IP.

Who the fuck was it that said you convince the Master that he was wrong "philosophically", because you are a fucking retard. The Master doesn't care o moralize about fucking philosophy, you can't just say "What you are doing is wrong." at no point did the Master believe that what he was doing was morally not justified, it's only when you give him all of the evidence that his plans are a failure and THEN take advantage of his moment of vulnerability to push him into despair that he gives up.
You can in fact push him all the way to the brink of despair and say: "Maybe there is something that can be done. Perhaps you need more test subjects."
To which the Master recovers from his despair and goes "Good idea! I'll start with you."

It was a battle of logic and outwitting your opponent by presenting him with the evidence, and then when he was reeling from the psychological shock of finding out all of the awful things he'd done had been for nothing at all, you do the mental equivalent of pushing him down the stairs with "Sorry, this isn't an option for you. Your race will die out after this generation."

The Master is about as interested in philosophical discussion as Frank Horrigan, and the only reason he doesn't immediately treat you with the "time to die" is because you're a prime normal with knowledge of the location of a vault (unless you have caveman tier intelligence) and it's far more beneficial for him to discuss things with you.
Basically the Master is by far and away the best written character in all of Fallout and it's not close.

The sheer level of disdain Bethesda has for this series is kind of shocking.

They really really fucking hate it and its fans and I'm genuinely not sure why.

man, you and TES fags still don't get it
it's just greed
everyone who cared left ages ago and everyone who remained has lost their spirit

it's not that they hate what you love: they just see money to be mined
they don't care
that's it

Was hoping they would say something about the FO3 remaster but whatever. Probably next year then.
I don't think they're interested in making new Fallout games or even remasters since retarded whales are still spending on FO76.

Or maybe they can't. TE6 pre production allegedly started in 2014 so we're going on 11 years in development with no release date in sight. They clearly don't have the technical talent they used to.

I'm going off that it exists based off of this FTC doc that got leaked like 2(?) years ago. Obviously the dates don't match for when anything actually came out but it was right about a new doom game and the oblivion remaster so I'm inclined to believe that they were considering it at one point. I see no reason why they wouldn't do it. I don't know what the sale numbers for the TES4 remaster was, so maybe if they were bad it might've gotten canned. Plus Fallout 3 also has a ton more content to remake I imagine, even more so if they decide to port all the DLC too like with TES4.

what is with people and wanting demakes?
it's just the same game but shittier
yes, it even looks worse than the original
I'm more so just curious to see the tech involved. I'm not going to argue whether it being UE5 is a demake or whatever, I just think it would make for a good exotic playthrough. I'd be curious to see how they would update the games animations as well, especially first person ones.

Besides, if I'm more inclined to do a test run, wasn't the TES4 remaster cracked like day one?

I've been playing vanilla New Vegas recently on Linux and only got one crash.
Given Bethesda's love of F:NV, I don't really want them to touch the game.
people complaining about any vanilla Fallouts being buggy angers me to no end. 3 and NV are honestly pretty stable as they are in vanilla with the final patches, they're not perfect but they are far from what I'd consider "buggy" Except fallout 4, but that is less so bugs and more so being terribly optimized.

Given what Sawyer(?) said about patching the game and its DLCs post launch, I hope they never touch NV, 3, and 4 ever again.

oh my god
the master blows himself the fuck up because you provide proof he was going to turn everyone into infertile hunchbacked gorillas instead of an actual superior race, not out of some change of heart brought about by your words
So in other words, you convince him that he and his philosophy are wrong, using words and not your weapons, and you are able to end the encounter successfully without directly killing him. Glad you agree with me, even tho you're a little bitch about it(as you usually are).
>new fo4 update/anniversary version that will destroy script extension mods for another year

FUUUUUUUCK
GOOOOODDAMMIIIIIIIIT
People who update the game get everything they deserve. I still run my copy of Fallout 4 on some ancient version that doesn't even have the Creation Club store and quite literally everything works for me aside from said crappy CC content(there is mods for almost everything there anyways that are better than the CC equivalents).
Time to learn how to pirate the game so that you aren't forced to update it like a bitch.

That Fallout London DLC trailer is amazing. DLC for the DLC isn't unheard of, in fact Sonora did something like this not too long ago(which is amazing considering it's a Fallout 2 mod), but the quality of the trailer itself is better than whatever Bethesda puts out nowdays. Gambling minigames and dual wielding are already available from other mods in Fallout 4 but I am glad they are just making that part of the baseline experience in London. This is why I couldn't give half a shit about what Bethesda is doing, the fans ARE the caretakers of the franchise now. We don't need Todd and his merry band of idiots, nepobabies and diversity hires.
The collectibles on their kickstarter are pretty cool, but too rich for my blood. I may pick up a pack of cards, maybe even the little doll, but the artbook better be scanned somewhere cause I ain't paying a 100 dollars for a LE that doesn't even give me a physical copy of the game.

This is entirely different from New Vegas' utterly broken speech options.

I don't even know who you are.

It's not just those 2, everything so far has been released, I believe in that exact order, you just have to push things back 2 years from covid, although that's starting to slip to 3 years.
I imagine the same studio that did the Oblivion remake will handle it and probably started in earnest after that was released but I doubt we'll see anything about a Fallout 3 remake until after Skyrim 2 comes out, which itself looks like will be 2026, maybe 2027.
