The worst part of that, is Skyrim AE had more content than this excuse.
Having pirated all the CC content beforehand, not much is really missed out and ended up removing a lot of them. The weapon skins and armor were nice to customize my PC and companions with, but them being packed into individual ESLs raped my limit. I ended up using these two mods to whittle them down to just two. The same mod author made ones for the Pipboy paints and PA, but never really used them.

That New Vegas inspired quest is literally "HEY, 'MEMBER THIS FROM NEW VEGAS?" for the entire duration. It's the worst approach ever to nostalgia.

Those quests too, the ridiculousness of calling the quest "Hunt for the X" where you have to actually track an animal and all you do is to follow the waypoints.

They even had Dogmeat in there, wouldn't it had been better to have him track whoever?

i watched the trailer
  • so house ending is cannon since he is still alive (unless they pull some bullshit like "it's not actually House behind his v tuber avatar")
  • for some reason legion is still there even though they should've been driven out of the Mohave
  • kings are still there even if they are ghouls (which btw how the fuck did they got gouhlified, theres hardly any radiation in Vegas)
  • brotherhood of steel still there, stronger than ever which makes 0 sense
  • and who the fuck knows what they did to NCR
i cant wait to see this train smash into the wall

Me neither,

-It could be House. Though in the event of a "copy"-scenario, deepfake, or pre-recorded message, any of them could be possible still.

-In the show the NCR got nuked and New Vegas appears overran. Out of the big 3 they appear to be the only ones who weren't killed off-screen, which is ironic given the writers would probably find them the most despicable. West Coast is fucked so apparently your best bet if you want to be unmolested by "canon" is to be a flyover state lmao.

-I kind of hope we don't get any intact kings because their mannerisms are going to get played off as ridiculous and worthy of ridicule rather than endearing and being more of a fashion choice and moral direction over anything else. Some of the shots look confusing and I can't tell whether they're inside the Strip, Freeside, the gates to Vegas proper or even Westside of all places. We can only really speculate but given Vault-Tek can pull a nuke out of its ass centuries to bomb shady sands anything's possible. I'm going to guess, simplest possible answer, that the Ghoul Kings aren't inside Vegas proper and they're more a small easter egg/obstacle. Watch them be in Boulder City or something, somehow.

-Given what we've seen in the trailer it's probably the show's "Brotherhood" rather than the remnants of Elijah's Brotherhood. If House ending is canon then it can't be them since their survival is non-negotiable. NCR and Independent allow for it. That's about it.
I love House's takedown of them, even though I don't particularly dislike them.
"Because they're ridiculous!"
"The world has no use for mentally unstable techno-fetishists."

-Nuked. In season 1 survivors became a weird religious cult thing lead by Muldaver who was either frozen or is somehow immortal considering she was in Goggins' flashbacks. I think that black woman in the trailer is at Camp Golf and appears to be wearing the uniform you see in-game but otherwise the NCR appears to be dead or otherwise blown back to the stone age despite Shady Sands not being their only city and places like "The Hub" or "Boneyard" or even "Vault City" all existing.

In brace for House haters to use the show as an excuse for house to be the worst choice. "HE SAID HE WOULD REBUILD VEGAS AND TAKE US TO THE STAR GIUES! WHY IS VEGAS STILL A SHITHOLE!? WHY ARE WE NOT IN HECKING MARS YET!?"

Brootherhood in a Independent ending can work as tech hoarders to prevent uprisings.
Always making that my headcanon each time i get that ending.

I know they won't do it, because it would mean they played the game or deigned to watch him say it, but one of the worst things they could do is have him say his plan for the future verbatim in the past as a sales pitch to con investors or something. "50 years to reach orbit? Just some hogwash to get the money on-board." Or something. Funniest option is they actually make House more believable or something.

Best outcome though is whatever bullshit the series does would is completely divorced from the actions of any of the players in FNV. Vault Tek or Enclave doing some bullshit.

Whilst I predicted the Legion are secret good guys as more of a contrivance based on conjecture (Brotherhood might be the actual bad guys), considering it looks like the Ghoul is leaving the room when House suddenly appears on screen and in-video, I'm going to soft-predict that House is dead and that's some kind of pre-recorded message.

that black woman who was the evil sith in that star wars movie or show nobody remembers is going to be mr house, at some point she takes over and is in the pod pretending to be mr house, mr house is BLACK! he's a GIRL!

What is it with AAA companies and squandering billion dollar IP's? Holy fuck Bethesda is out of touch and their heads are so far up their own asses it defies the laws of physics.

Fallout 76 will never be as big as a singleplayer Fallout game and you can only milk the whales for so long. All those new locations and the new content are being squandered on such a small, niche spinoff. And of course they learned nothing from the last big Fallout 4 "update". RIP everyone's modlist I guess.

But hey, if you wanna cope, cope in style with the New Vegas anniversary edition! That'll be $150 straight to Todd's bank account, please. Just let Bethesda crash and burn already so some other company can buy their IP's in a firesale.
I think they saw GTA online and thought they could catch the lightning in a bottle

Yeah, same lead guy and friends who made dry well. I just saw that it comes out on Dec 12 which sucks, but have plenty of time to get my modlist to together at least.
The best mods are usually that way and apparently it only took them 18 months to make this one too. Their mod projects seem to actually understand that mods should serve more like expansions to the main game than over bloated nonsense like The Frontier was.

Close enough, but mark my words: the black daughter of The Ghoul is going to be alive, and she's taken over House's computer system after the events of NV, pretending to be him. To add insult to injury, they are going to imply that most of Mr. House's technology was actually designed by her, because she's such a genius so that's why he kept her alive in secret.
It's the "best" way to tie all the loose plot points in a big reveal, virtue signal like crazy, and retroactively shit all over New Vegas.

Wait, like the Mechanist in Fallout 4? Which was a mexinarc behind it?
What Todd mean for this?

OWB stressed me out way more my first time playing than Dead Money ever did. Big MT was so freaky. Sure, ghosts can be creepy, but lobotomites, trauma override harnesses, angry robots, and tons of nightstalkers and cyberdogs were way scarier. Plus I was all alone! At least in Dead Money, I've got my buddies with me. The dream team. Dead Money felt sad and almost comfy once I got the hang of navigating the radios and mist. OWB does eventually feel like home, but it took me all the way until finding out Mobius is just a sweet, crazy old man trying to protect the world.

pussy, proton axes are the shit and a band of lobotomites means free repairs because you always pick jury rigging, always.

After all these years, I’m about to start OWB without the Animal Friend perk. That means no more safety from Nightstalkers…

The spawns in OWB are insane, but it’s just how I like it. The only part I truly hate is the small research centre which sees you ambushed by multiple Trauma Harnesses including one wielding the fucking K9000.

I tend to mod my game with ‘kill or be killed’ levels of damage, so that encounter usually takes a few million fucking attempts!

The first time I played, that place was bugged, so every single Y-17 TH that was supposed to be in the building spawned directly in front of the door as I entered. I almost had a heart attack. I really should do an Animal Friend playthrough, I just never have enough charisma. I hate killing the animals. The way the geckos cry and cover their face after you hit them breaks my heart. I wish Animal Friend applied to more things, like deathclaws. I feel so bad exterminating them. They just want to be left alone and make a family.

Agreed, Now if only Nova Arizona was finished and wasn't a pain in the ass to install, but It is nearing completion.

It gets worse, pretty much every single asset there has been available in some shape or form on Nexus for years. NCR Veteran Ranger Armor? Check. Revolver Shotgun? Check, and that one has more content too(lol). Flashbangs? Check, and the mod I am using adds a whole lot more explosives too. There is plenty of mods that add some shitty OP playerhome that looks like a James Bond hideout, that's pretty much a Fallout mod staple since Fallout 3 days. What does that leave that new hyped up mod with? Some drama queen marty stu straight out of The Frontier and a couple of crappy cookie cutter dungeons, that's all this mod has going for it and every single comment on that video seems to be mocking the ranger too. Knowing life, he probably fucks that deathclaw he keeps around too, I know how these modders think.

Speculation is meaningless because this TV show is non-canon. After how little thought they put into the first season, anyone who genuinely thinks there is any thread of logic behind anything here is delusional, it will be the most predictable bullshit ever made made by people who have never played a minute of any Fallout game in their lives. Last of Us TV show will look like it cares about the source material and it's fans in comparison.
