Not really? I have done Dead Money as a pretty generic soldier character with shit melee and stealth and it isn't much more difficult. Ghost people can be fed to Dog or just hit with a knife four times to cut off a limb. Provided you arent really shit at the game, any character can get through it.
Fallout 5 will probably mention that the NCR is nuked and Vault Tec now officially nuked the planet for... profit? So expect that to come up at some point I guess. Not that it matters. We wont see Fallout 5 for like 20 more years.
I personally cant stand Honest Hearts. It is extremely boring. The environment is kind of nice, I guess, but the central conflict is nothing to write home about and the actual content being pretty boring exploration and fetching annoys me. Dead Money is nice and compact, it feels like a solid side-story. Honest Hearts peaks when you talk to Graham and then spins its heels for like three hours until it ends with a pretty anticlimactic final battle.
It's funny to me that that he saw me say I wasn't a fan of the show and started sperging when on paper he agrees with that.
The endings suck too unless you do defend zion and get Joshua to let general gobbledeegook go. Honestly i hated Daniel more because he just comes off as a fool trying to pretend the world is in a different place than it is. I understand he wants to stick with his religions values but when you're genuinely considering leaving the land you think god gave you because you don't wanna defend yourselves you are a fool.

In the show thread I'm desperate for some sort of twist that Moldaver is some kind of psycho Posadist or responsible for everything just so that retarded explanation isn't made canon. My theory is that House is playing the rest of the vault tec "nuke the world" squad by making them think he's on their side when in reality he's getting the defenses of vegas ready to save it. Mold thinking he can nuke the world is probably just her misunderstanding what his plans actually are or trying to get Coop to take him out knowing he's actually not in on the idea.

I feel the same way. Dead Money being the black sheep is bizarre when Honest Hearts has so little going for it. People really cannot stand getting their gear taken away, but I even think Honest Hearts is more annoying about this since it makes ME organize and stash all my shit. At least Dead Money strips me and puts it in a convenient locker to pick back up.

MY main gripe with HH was the double whammy endings. If you defeat the white legs, CONGRATS the natives become raiders. If you leave Zion the natives are emotionally ruined and unable to find peace.
Thats why defending zion and sparing the white legs leader is the best ending because it doesn't turn the sorrows into raiders and Daniel finds comfort that the couriers lesson of mercy might stick.
