They're selling an awesome pip boy replica based on the model used in Fallout 3 and New Vegas.
Whoever is running their merch department needs a raise because a lot of the stuff they have been putting out very recently is very unique and honestly tempting. That said, I am cheap bastard and hate the idea of giving Microsoft money. Now if they put out a collection of the perk magazines for display from Fallout 4... well that might be a different story. Some of that art is really nice.

You might find that on Etsy. I know they have all kinds of Fallout merchandise there which is unique.

Imagine reading a real-life copy of ‘Lying, Congressional Style’ whilst cranking one out on the shitter. We’d be the coolest kids in the basement.

I wouldn't spend the money they want on any of this, but it is all actually pretty neat. Actual merch that isn't just Funko knockoffs feels like a rarity in recent years.

>introduce magic to fallout
>never bring it up again
What did Obsidian mean by this
They've had a Psyker of some kind in every game, even Bethesda continued this trend. Yes, even in 3, in fact Murphy is recycled content based on said NPC.
>b-but not magic-
May as well be with how Bethesda butchered it, at least MOST OF THE FUCKING TIME it's more subtle.
But then Bethesda added Actual Magic instead of Might Be Magic with Point Lookout and the Totally-Not-Necronomicon, so god only fucking knows now.

For context- 1 had the Master, the four experiments, and Chuck; 2 has Hakunin and Melchior; 3 has Poplar, Tanya, and Calvert; NV has the Forecaster and the Schizo Cave Nightkin; 4 has Murphy and technically Cabot but that one is pretty much just straight-up magic. Shit, Tactics even had the Beastlords, who were basically an entire tribe of Melchiors. oh and apparently 76 is just chock full of Cabot-style psykers.
NO I WILL NOT INDULGE IN EMIL'S FUCKERY AND WILL CONTINUE TO USE THE ORIGINAL TERM

could you fucking imagine if they tried to make the main character of a fallout a psyker
Now that would be fucking horrifying, and it's really only one step away from what i'm reading about 76.

let's be glad they haven't tried doing anything with psykers. could you fucking imagine if they tried to make the main character of a fallout a psyker (see: a dragonborn)
Psykers get a pass because it is never portrayed as something without severe consequences. All the Psykers in Fallout had serious mental problems and in exchange they could spawn fireballs.

It's a Fallout classic, psychic powers and magic bullshit have been there since Fallout 1
Or are we going to forget that The Master could psychically scream to attack you and you needed a special nullifier to avoid getting your shit rocked?
The Psykers that were in the Master's base clearly had more powers than just psychic attacks nonsense, too.

But god I do not want The next FO protagonist to move shit with their mind.

The Master's powers were kept very mysterious and the result of dumping human brains and computers into a giant vat of evil plot magic. Also anomalous mental phenomena has been a thing for years now. Some of the stuff we thought about psychics that was deemed magic or science fiction is now considered real.

you know what would be funny? if it had optional shitty integration to your fallout game...
speaking of which, i can't recall if they implied that shitty saarfield smartwatch from the collectors edition would have integration with the game similar to that GTA5 app, it would give them another reason to roll a patch to break the script extender anyway.

Doesn't the tabletop do that?
I heard it leans heavy into it at points.

Yeah this was just a seemingly failed bit because no bark says a cave rat taught him a spell.

Because the NCR is full of queers. Their AI "waifu" would be a troon on the comms with some kind of fetish related to transforming into a skinsuit.
...I swear something similar is in the Old World Blues mod for HOI4.

There's no classes in that tabletop game iirc so it might be a starting feat, would make no sense if it could be taken later in game without some artifact like Lorenzo's. I don't actually remember anything remotely "Psyker" officially in that game, but I never played it.
If there was, it should be something you'd dedicate your character towards (and only a specific path, telekinesis being one) and would be weak until mid-late game. Fallout 1 shows that the psykers do in fact have various stereotypical forms of psychic powers so you can get away with a bunch of fantasy-like rules. Honestly I'd be fine with them but only for NPCs and only extremely rarely.
