Are you implying that the TV show is part of official canon? Because if I were Todd Howard I wouldn't allow for that and relegate it to Star Wars expanded universe status. Not a chance. Bethesda needs the setting to be Mad Max forever. At best she will make ONE slice of decent society that will probably just get blown up off-screen when Fallout 5 comes out in 2075.
As of now the TV Show is considered canon, though it's status as canon may change by the time Fallout 5 comes out.Are you implying that the TV show is part of official canon? Because if I were Todd Howard I wouldn't allow for that and relegate it to Star Wars expanded universe status.
I can see public opinion on it dropping after it ends, well maybe not but I sure hope it does.As of now the TV Show is considered canon, though it's status as canon may change by the time Fallout 5 comes out.
Every Fallout wiki is now edited like the show episodes are part of the canon. Almost every Fallout 1, 2, or New Vegas lore article is now infected with information from the Amazon series. Some of them are being updated seconds into episodes premiering. Meaning either someone from Bethesda or Amazon is polluting the articles on purpose. Or some overly zealous Bethestard with no life is changing the wikis live during the show. Are you implying that the TV show is part of official canon? My opinion from the beginning has been that the show's canon status depends solely on how it's thought of by the time of the next game, and even then, Fallout 5 is surely going to take place somewhere on the East Coast of the United States, so it's doubtful any reference will be made to the show outside of some small references.I can see public opinion on it dropping after it ends, well maybe not but I sure hope it does.
The real hope is that the show will not matter in the case of 5 either lore or location wise and I can forget about it completely, either because it's been so long since the show's debut that Bethesda themselves have forgotten about it or because it's been decanonized by them. I think you can guess which one I hope is true.
This is something I'm iffy about, I made a post earlier but I think right now the most likely location is San Fran. I would love nothing more for it to be NOT San Fran, but the only east coast option other than that that has any grounds for possibly happening is New York. That wouldn't be nearly as devastating to the lore, but I think you can imagine how much of a nightmare that'll be to play without frame drops. Boston may have been a technical achievement but it sure wasn't a optimization one. Other than those two, the only locales I can think of are: Texas, Chicago, Toronto ('Ronto) and New Orleans. Out of those, I wouldn't mind going to Canada as it IS technically part of the US in Fallout.Fallout 5 is surely going to take place somewhere on the East Coast of the United States
The only wiki that matters to me is the one between my two ears, and that one says the show ain't canon. I'd sooner consider quest mods as canon than the show. Todd can dig that hole as deep as he wants I'm not jumping in with him.Every Fallout wiki is now edited like the show episodes are part of the canon.
Well I imagine that F5 is going to take place on the west coast anyway, since Cuckward seems to feel the need to destroy everything on the west coast so he can begin again, without those pesky non bethesda titles in the way.I can see public opinion on it dropping after it ends, well maybe not but I sure hope it does.

Lucky for bethesda, you dont need to make a game to see san fran or new york as post apocalyptic wastelands.TLR mostly likely location for Fallout 5 is San Fran, followed by New York. other possibilities include Chicago, Toronto, Texas, or New Orleans
I don't see Bethesda touching the west coast any time soon. 3 took place in the DC Metro Area and it's surroundings, 4 is Boston, and 76 is West Virginia into New Jersey, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. 5 is probably going to take place either in New York (my hope) or somewhere south of Virginia, maybe Atlanta or something.TLR mostly likely location for Fallout 5 is San Fran, followed by New York. other possibilities include Chicago, Toronto, Texas, or New Orleans
The show. Most of its story can be condensed down into a miniseries at most.If you were to make a fan edit of the show, what would you remove?
Assuming all contents need used in some regard (Pre-War sequences, basic Vault premises, etc.) or wholesale replacement? If you were to time travel and rewrite the show, what would you replace the existing story with?
Several side stories left untold, something like Fargo where there's a new story every season would be cool.If you were to make a fan edit of the show, what would you remove?

Enclave content from their perspective, same for the legion/ncr/khans/kings. I think show that showed us many different characters from different factions (preferably an episode focusing on each) in their own narratives, while tying into a larger story (buildup to the first battle of hover damn/aftermath of the second) would be really cool. If I had to re-write the show though, I would just *gasp* create a new setting (deep south/midwest/canada/texas) and do stuff there, with the current main factions of fallout being relegated to a minor/non existent role (no bos, your not the main characters again) so I could develeop *gasp* new things. Tbh if bethesda decided to set the show in a new setting, away from the west coast, I couldn't really care, if anything, I would throw them a bone for at least trying to make something new.If you were to make a fan edit of the show, what would you remove?

Oh please we all know its coming in 2077.Not a chance. Bethesda needs the setting to be Mad Max forever. At best she will make ONE slice of decent society that will probably just get blown up off-screen when Fallout 5 comes out in 2075.
