god is so obvious now that bethesda HATES evrithing fallout that wasn't done by them
i bet emil had a boner when he instructed to destroy everything in new vegas

I have no idea where you got this from, if you look at Amazon right now FOTV is still number 1 in TV Shows, Beast Games is 3rd.

I'm not going to quote it (as I cannot remember where it was in the thread, though it was recent), I think the original idea of what started the war was Vault Tec dropping a nuclear bomb on a vault door as a test and the US panicked and all hell broke loose. I like that better than "we dropped the bombs because of muh capitalism"
Vault tec dropping the bombs dates back to the fallout movie scripts so its been kicking around as an idea for a long time.
Correction: Anything OTHER than bethesda's content is allowed to progress
If that was true the tunnel snakes and three dog would have gotten better fates
It's established that in-between TLJ and TROS the First Order expanded it's influence across the galaxy
The first order came out of empire remnants that the republic allowed to remain in the outer rim as they were the only reason why outer rim colonies were a thing.
You are retarded

The fucked up thing is that Fallout 4 does kind of try to toy with the idea that there WAS a civilization in The Commonwealth before you woke up in the form of the CPG, which The Institute was even taking an active hand in developing.

But for some reason, when negotiations were floundering (lord only knows how or why you cant ask) The Institute just decided to murder literally everyone and then go hide underground.

I guess Fallout 4 having splashes of society and a tyrannical overlord to fight or join wouldn't have allowed Bethesda to be lazy and make everything a settlement building zone so we got the more retarded Fallout 4 instead.
You hit the nail on the head for me as to what I think the root of the problem is with writing the Institute. They want to go for some body snacher/blade runner story, I think that's fine, I'll even say cool, but any reason for that does not seem to gel well with the post apocalypse that they keep forcing the franchise into. What is the reason for subterfuge when even Gen 1 synths can and have roll over settlements for whatever reason they want. And it's not like they can only do shock tactics and have to run, they can hold it if they want because it's not like the region is unified enough to send anybody to take it back. Even the minutemen, who's entire purpose would be to do that, started to collapse nearly 50 years before the start of the game. They don't even really need to take these places either, from what I remember they're pretty self sufficient down there, the only thing they need is electrical power, that they've somehow been siphoning off the surface, and doing it remotely no less. They really needed is the Institute to be resource hungry, and up against a somewhat unified Commonwealth that's too much for the Institute can't face them head on, but also large enough that you can have conspiracies of stealing away resources and snatching people that ask too many questions.

Didn't watch that faggot's video, but it did remind me of this:

76 did a great job at criticizing capitalism and all it had to do was let you run a store with prices you set.

There's also a reason why big mt was in the middle of nowhere and not the center of a major city.

Good news though, the show seems to be putting the new vegas troons into the "show is good, shitting all over non Bethesda games is fine" camp
https://youtube.com/watch?v=FifGQ9afRJQI felt myself recoiling as the freak had to gush over all the memberberries in the show
I just want to note that some of the people commenting on this video actually believe buying war bonds has anything to do with capitalism. That's the level of stupid present here, and yet the same people will gleefully tell the rest of us we don't understand "media literacy".

we can see the pink triangle, but thanks i guess.
Didn't watch that faggot's video, but it did remind me of this:
hell, FO1 and FO2 trying to set up people trying to move on and rebuild even though the master and enclave also have their own thinking of "moving on" by setting their own status quo causing a war is something there.
shieet you might reach around for FO3, NV and FO4 also having the same war for status quo but FO4 is the emptiest of the installations because it wants you to build and shieet, nigga.
start building, whiteboy.

people be like: "Emil sucks hire another writer!!"

My Brother in Christ you have no idea how much worse it could be.
If they hire someone even worse than emil than fallout might just finally die and be picked up by a compitent studio.
Any outcome is better than this shambling corpse.
Dude cmon they are trying to turn fallout into boarderlands

At least Emil bothers to try to reach for some lofty themes and CAN write good questlines (see DB from Oblivion), most hacks do basic bitch nonsense and are lauded for it (see The Last of Us 1 and 2).

I don't know man, Emil has higher chance of leaving Bethesda and someone competent (the Far Harbor writer) to take his steed before FO5 than for that happen.

And to be real, what competent studio?
you assume microshart won't keep the IP on the refrigerator just to keep raking money with fallout related shit... how innocent of you.
Honestly? Assuming they don't immediately shoot down fan projects that try to make themselves know prior to being released (which they likely would) then I think Fallout has had it's time in the sun and should retire. If FO5 and TES6 are good, and rainbow me but I hope so, I think I could rest easy with both being buried. Silent Hill proves to me a series doesn't need to continue forever. obviously this doesn't include my dream TES7 but whatever
Any outcome is better than this shambling corpse.

Amazon? Yes. Bethesda? I haven't really seen any proof of that outside of 76, when 5 comes out maybe I'll give you that point, but we've got a heckuva long time to wait and see.

Will Shen was the lead on Far Harbor, right? He's gone. He dipped before that nigger who was trying to hawk stolen copies of Starfield was caught.

I haven't played SF and I know designer doesn't mean writer, but maybe I should retract that previous statement?

Also perfect Segway: if anybody had qualms with FO4's art design, right now exxpect more of the same for 5. I checked and most of the art team who worked on that game still work there outside of namely Nathan Purkeypile (what even is that last name) who's been the developer responsible for the "TES6 and FO5 won't please people because we'll still get death threats" article

Bethesda? I haven't really seen any proof of that outside of 76
Dide f4 is a glorified looter shooter that has guns with freezing bullets, and random bosses that just a bullet sponge.
Not to mention how they dumbed down the role play aspect. None of your choises matter. None of yor dialog options matter. You don't really can build your character in a unique way.
Its just a looter shooter now, cause its all that matters now. Clicking on enemies and picking up trash.
