I haven't played SF and I know designer doesn't mean writer, but maybe I should retract that previous statement?
The wiki is really fucking scarce on Far Harbor info. Did a little searcharooski and it looks like Emil was involved with the writing or at least the waters have been muddied enough to credit him in some capacity. Regardless, Will Shen is no more and there's a super telling panel he gave after exiting the company that's worth a listen.

The Legion not killing Lucy took me out of the scene immediately.

If some dorky vault dweeb walked up and started talking like a reddior to NV Legionaries they would end up on a cross.

As of the latest episode of the TV show:
1) House did not drop the bombs (but he did predict the exact date now instead of a 15 year window) and still wants to protect Vegas
2) The mind control tech is looking to be an intentionally flawed device given to vault tec in trade for cold fusion
3) Vault-Tec and the other corporations are not responsible for the bombs
4) All things are pointing towards the Enclave (i.e. American deep state) initiating it

>Brotherhood of Steel retarded
>Legion retarded
>NCR dead and retarded
Housebros, we won...

Wait until you find out what happened to Lucy

Feels good to have been right from the start about house.
Honestly the enclave dropping the bombs makes the second most sense after china

Dide f4 is a glorified looter shooter that has guns with freezing bullets, and random bosses that just a bullet sponge.
Not to mention how they dumbed down the role play aspect. None of your choises matter. None of yor dialog options matter. You don't really can build your character in a unique way.
Its just a looter shooter now, cause its all that matters now. Clicking on enemies and picking up trash.
The Fallout show is Borderlands in terms of writing and 'humor'. Fallout 4 is only really similar to Borderlands in terms of weapon gameplay. Writing wise, Fallout 4 is a severely undercooked story trying to be serious. The show does not want to be serious.

This. A lot of the things aren't played for laughs for in 4, your wife getting shot isn't, Shaun getting kidnapped isn't and the general suckiness of living in the commonwealth isn't either.
Heck not even all of the sarcastic options are strictly "let me be funny in a inappropriate situation"

The Oblivion remaster seemed to go over really well with most people, and there wasn't any massive changes from what I know. I have hopes that the FO3 remaster will be at least very faithful to the OG game with a few quality of life fixes. It probably helps a lot that at the end of the day the Oblivion and eventual FO3 remaster are still running inside their original engines, and unreal just handles graphics.
The Oblivion "remaster" was slammed all over the place for being a poorly-performing no-effort shit job. All they did was clumsily glue the original Gamebryo build to a UE 5 graphics front-end, wothout even bothering to fix any of the known bugs in the original build.

Also perfect Segway: if anybody had qualms with FO4's art design, right now exxpect more of the same for 5. I checked and most of the art team who worked on that game still work there outside of namely Nathan Purkeypile (what even is that last name) who's been the developer responsible for the "TES6 and FO5 won't please people because we'll still get death threats" article

A Segway is a faggoty-ass scooter, a transition from one thing to another is a segue.

Honestly, this episode was pretty good, meaning that next week the show will shoot itself in the foot again. I think that's the most frustrating part about it, the show is almost good. It's this uneven rollercoaster that comes so close to being both a good Fallout show and good television, but for every step forward it takes, it takes two steps back. I don't know if the problem is Jonathan Nolan, Amazon, or Bethesda, but it's clear that someone involved keeps making it do the television equivalent of stepping on a rake whenever the NCR and BOS are brought up.

I didn't play it because I'm not really a TES guy (I liked Morrowind and Skyrim well enough, but I never got super into the lore), but everything I saw about it was people singing it's praises for being a complete graphical overhaul instead of just lazily AI upscaling the textures and calling it a day. The only criticisms I really saw were over the lack of official modding tools and that seems to be a limitation of the UE5 license (hopefully if Bethesda uses UE5 like this again, they can work something out for modders because I have zero interest in an unmoddable Bethesda game and I think that's the case for most people).

You're mostly right, but I feel like the prewar segments of the show are pretty serious and dramatic (and as such the best part).

PTSD moment for me personally.

they already got what they wanted from shaun anyway which was his undamaged DNA so letting him die because of his implied influence as the main genetic template for synths is a good thing for retarded politicking, until his father comes and blows you the fuck up that is because he didn't turn on the evacuation alarm...

I'm not watching this goyslop, but if they're saying it was the Enclave and Chinese AI, that's an interesting and not so subtle way of removing agency from non-White people for destroying the world while retaining Whitey's culpability as it was a human that made the decision on the American's part and a robot on the Chingchong's. "It wasn't us, gweilo, it was just our computers!" Very standard Hollywood, non-Whites are always righteous and cannot make morally dubious decisions. This is why all TV after ~2014 is worthless. I bet they for real thought nobody would make that connection and that we're all just dumb consumer cattle without the ability the think critically.

Justifiable or not, no matter how reasonable, a desertion is still a desertion- especially when explicitly stated by the deserters.
This is why Fo3-origin BoS is fucking hilarious.

>house is implied to be dead
>despite the ghouls daughter being caught in the nuclear blast in LOS ANGELES, she is somehow inside a vault in vegas
>enclave released the deathclaws during the sino alaskan war
>the goul is mortally wounded after lucy throws him out of a window with a powerfist
>frank leaves the vault tech bunker to get lucy

ACK

I am actually laughing at how the ghouls kid is somehow in the vault in vegas, when she was with the ghoul in LA, WHEN THE BOMBS DROPPED.
